Changing to Facelift headlights

Guest

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

im just curious, I was under the impression that this wasnt possibly but I read on another threat that the facelift headlights for the BH/BE Legacy can be interchanged however there is a small space above the headlight because the bonnet is different. Has anyone completed a full facelift to the earlier model? If I were to change the headlights and the bonnet, would it all fit up nicely?

I actually quite like the simplier design of the older ones but am just curious if this is possible?

Thanks

Will

Heres one with a full facelift without a newer bonnet. You can see the gap between top of headlight and bonnet. Also has earlier model bumper ;D

I have done it!!!

It involved a bigger hammer.

yeah I remember you saying a while back that there was a big metal knob that needed hammering down. What was the metal knob attached to? Did you change the bonnet? Any pics?

Don't remember a metal knob, but there was some hammering done to make room to fit it.

Here's some pics...

I think the eyelids helped to keep the gap look like it wasn't there as they follow the bonnet lines, even though without them it was hardly noticeable. (might be because it was is a black car though)

At the moment the car is off the road but will have a brand new facelift bonnet, a facelift grill and the facelift bumper like the last 2 pics. I'm pretty sure there is no difference in the guards. Won't be any headlight cover or eyelids on the lights this time either.

Cheers :)

Can't remember too well as it was a couple of years ago that I did it, but basically used a hammer to bend some of the metal out of the way that was preventing the lights from fitting in.

ie. if it didn't sit right I took it back out and used the hammer a little more.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
