So my surf has a problem of some sort.

I started it on saturday and it was a bit slow which i thought was odd as if batterys were flatish...moved and then parked it. After i parked it the stereo and clock etc stayed on as if it was on 1 click with the key.

Took faceplate off stereo and left it, moved it later in the day and was slow again so drove up road and back then parked and hte stereo and everything switched off this time so wasnt worried.

Drove later in the day and same deal switched off no problem.

This morning i get up and walk into the lounge and i can hear a stereo/sub cranking and it turns out the stereo has somehow started in the night (was definatly off when i parked it)

Any ideas WTF is up with this haha...

is it only the sterio that is coming on? could possibly be that the switch inside it to turn it off is failing. if this happends again, i would test the ACC line on the sterio to see if there is voltage to it. if there is not and the sterio is going, then sterio is stuffed.

if you do have voltage and other things are on, then maybe the contacts in your key switch are the problem

hhmmm. . . unless the power is back feeding through the sterio? not sure on the internals of a sterio though hahaha

you could always try unplug the sterio next time it happens and see if the clock goes out? if the plug is easy to get to.

Clean the contact part in the key switch? dont know if there easy to get to though.

just thoughts really :)

yea, it is odd.

but from what i can think of, there isnt to much else. brain isnt turned on yet though.

is the key switch easy to get to? if you can clean and check the contacts inside?

thinking of a way to test it easy when it happens next

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
