ive read quite a bit about it and knew of it before it was applied to cars, it was invented for use in planes during WW2.

Because of the thinning O2 in the upper atmosphere their engines were starving for that vital component, so along came water injection....

i know about water injection, i was talking about aquamist :P

am planning to use demon injection for my water methanol injection, well for the most part, and some local parts.

same setup really as water injection. just a different way. i looked at this last year but the technology in NZ is shite for it at the minute. Unless its been knocked off a few times in NZ no one will help you or youll pay mega bucks for it or the setup of it..

I wouldnt mind it aye.

the hardest part i found trying to get in new zealand is the spray nozzles, am having to get them from overseas, most other parts you can find here, lines, connectors, valve, pump wise.

dont help ive spend money on my camera not the car, so havnt gotten round to getting past the looking around stage :(

I ran an Aquamist setup in my car back in South Africa. It was the best mod I ever did! Guaranteed.

I ran a 50/50 mix of water and methanol - helped reduce detonation and keep intake temps down. It kept the car's times consistent and and I never had any problems with heat soak from the turbo. It was plain to see how similar cars suffered without it. I didn't get much power gain from it but I never did it for that anyway.

I've been considering it for my Sti but no one here knows how to install it.

You see imo adding alcohol to the mix is just plain silly, the purpose of the h2o inj is to force more o2 into the combustion chamber aswell as keeping the entire system cool,

so in theory if the system acts like an "extra" intercooler why not just get rid of the existing ic and replace it with aquamist and run a straight-through pipe from turbo to throttle body...ZERO LAG?????

this is what i plan to try, out of turbos, into separate plenums. so not intercoolers. if you calculate it right it can work, i think ill get it wrong lol

You will get more power with alcohol than just water.

You are not going to force more o2 into the combustion chamber by adding h2o.

You can run leaner mixtures but thats due to the anti det nature of water.

Yes a mix of methanol and water is the best, although plain water will do fine as well.

What you are trying to achieve is to keep your charge temp down, which means it is denser and therefore more bang.

You can then run more timing and control detonation , hence more power.

What else do you want to know?

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
