  1. It's not cheap but you get a totally different car when you pick it up. Worth every cent.
  2. There is one for sale on TradeMe at the moment. Here My understanding to fit these was that you just needed the TMIC and clutch master cylinder but given your questions I can only assume that the brackets do not line up?
  3. @Pappu1 my two cents after scanning all the replies. Absolutely this company failed at carrying out the service you paid them to do - that in itself is reason for a dispute. The ideal outcome here for you would be a refund of the service fee. If you can get that - just move on and never use them again. They are in no way liable for any repairs on the vehicle and could never be held accountable - I think you already know this however. @Loren had some good points. The one I liked the most is - always go and check the car out yourself. I can sympathise with you entirely, you're in an undesirable situation - just make the best of it. I'd be extremely upset if I was in your situation. I understand it completely and you have every right to be aggrieved. Get that refund and never use them again. PS: This is a great example of 'expectation setting' with your own customers. Undesirable situations like this make you a better person and businessman if you want them to.
  4. You are the first to hear this, but I've just ordered a very special, very expensive, ODBII reader that works with the models from the GC era. I've ordered it with international courier and will test as soon as it arrives on one of my GC's then will message you to come over and we can plug in and take a look.
  5. Nope sorry What brand? Single or twin scroll
  6. Sorry - mine is a down pipe back - is that suitable? I have a Rage twin-scroll down pipe or factory single-scroll down-pipe if you need to make it work.
  7. I have one on my non-moving GC8 - if you want to try it out and promise not to scrape it then come over and we can fit it up.
  8. Nice. Seems to have been quite a lot of front toe before the alignment. Looks like they neutralised a lot of that. I also see they set the front camber to -2deg. Did you request that?
  9. Ahh! Thank you so much!! That is really nice to hear. Love comments like this and so stoked you appreciate it. Wow
  10. Thanks!! That comment made my morning! Ha
  11. Well Terry is a wanker then. Crap way to treat someone.
  12. Thanks @sobanoodle - auction updated.
  13. Unless I pull the motor out myself and engine dyno it I'll never know. What I do know is that next time I'll only detail things I've seen personally. Lesson learnt.
  14. Thanks man - appreciate it. It's really not easy. Being told I'm intentionally misleading potential buyers was pretty upsetting. Appreciate the kind comments too. Glad it's not only me that thinks it looks nice I'm dreading the day. That would totally infuriate me. Awesome man thank you SO much. As above, I'm glad I'm not the only one that likes it haha! Great to have someone else appreciate it too. The fees are ridiculous and the only reason I've continued to list on TradeMe was because people couldn't randomly comment, like on Facebook (I some times intentionally don't post on Facebook). However, the mobile phone application allows you to see unanswered questions, henceforth, people are using precisely as you say, like a market place / forum where they say whatever the hell they want, true or false. Haha I was just about to ask if that was someone from here. Cheers Tim, much appreciated. Haha it hasn't! Probably because it just sits in the driveway If you think that's interesting, what if I told you I owned two cars that start with FTP? Totally coincidental too. _______________________________________________________________ And to all of you - thanks for the support. Definitely feeling a lot better after that.
  15. Honestly man, when I was writing that line about the power, I was like, I shouldn't do this. Well, serves me right for not listening to my gut. Surprisingly, no genuine inquiries. I thought I would hit a sweet spot in the market (when I listed it), between that untidy one for 13k and that 'person' in East-Auckland for 28k. I was also upset and surprised at some of the comments. I genuinely feel like I'm offering the market a car that's pretty special and that's not available right now condition-wise and I feel like some people have taken the advertisement out of context and tried to pick holes. There are also one or two that seem to 'think' they know the history of the car, verbalised it so to speak, and have tried to, what feels like, intentionally give the car a bad rap from the get-go which is incredibly disappointing.
  16. I've experience this exact symptom of the CEL coming on while going up a slight incline in 4th gear at high speed. Car was NZ New '99 V5 STI. I never checked the code, because when I powered off the car and re-started the CEL would go away. There was no noticeable performance impact during the CEL. I'd drive the car to clear the codes. Re-run the scenario to get the CEL to come on and re-check the codes.
  17. @Andy_Mac I didn't realise they were illegal too. That's pretty lame. I have nothing on the car that requires a cert to my knowledge.
  18. Guy at Redline told me that all the XYZ, BC, OZ and D2 stuff is made in the same factory. I have no idea if it's true or not, but it meant I purchased Cusco instead.
  19. Thanks for the nice comments guys. I'm glad someone else also appreciates it - it took a lot of time and effort. @Berg thanks! Purchased them specifically for the colour scheme haha. The 7 spoke does look good hey! I'm with you on that. @Andy_Mac they are genuine Work ones. Originally the light anodised blue ones but I colour-matched them 'sort-of' with the Work centre caps. PS: Wheel colour is Duplicolour 'Gun Metal Grey' - but more like sea green if you ask me.
  20. I usually have the Mrs in the drivers seat with the brakes on and car in reverse and a long breaker bar. Usually does the trick.
