This happened to me once, turned out turbo timer was wired into the same line as headunit power, and headunit blew a fuse which killed the t timer as well. Check your fuses!
Those fto engines are pretty good reliability wise, has a two stage mivec system i think, someone can probably correct me. Heapz of grunt in that frame!
Similar thing happened to one of my brothers friends, turned out that any un-declared mods wernt covered by his insurence, and as such he had the right to remove them from the totaled vehicle as insurence had no stake in them. Not sure if this is true with your insurence company, but might be a way to retain your frount mount and other goodies.
1993 V1 WRX, 215k on engine, died due to high k's and the many thrashings i gave it. Was actually pretty happy with how long it lasted. Now has a v2 sti engine
Its the thingy on the right side of your intake manifold, little box thing with a plug on top, mine has ABC written on top of it, this happened to me and i pulled it off and gave it a good cleaning with some contact cleaner, had a build up of gunk, worked fine ever since. Hope that helps
