yeh not too worried about the wof thing down here, more thinking about whether they actually make a difference while driving at night as i do a fair bit of early morning/night driving.
check out the model code stamped into the metal plate on the passenger side enginebay then have a look at the thread on here somewhere that tells you what it all means, that should let you know exactly what you've got.
i wired that little actuator open all the time and it does seem to be very slightly more rumbly when just driving about town however i also decatted it at the same time so its probably more the decatting that the falppy thing.
you gonna need crossbars first mate, then you get the ski/snowboard holders. just depends what rails youve got on your car either the raised or integrated type
installed new siamese 3 inch system from the turbos back, fitted pimp looking mine's underbody brace that no one will ever see. broke one of the mounts that go onto the intercooler cause didnt know how to take it out properly, swore a lot then got a new part sorted from clubsub within an hour of breaking it.
Got a little angry when putting my intercooler back in and broke the housing on this thing when trying to fit it. Does anyone in the christchurch area have one of these? if you have i need it asap as i'm supposed to drive back to wanaka tomorrow afternoon. thanks heaps.
just wondering if its worth putting in a magnetic sump plug. Seems like a cheap way to protect your engine, has anyone had any experience with these things?
so as far as i can tell, the best replacement for a bg5 would be the 26/27 combo? has anyone done this? did you notice much of a difference? and is it a striaght bolt on mod?

replaced my cracked factory radiator with a redline performance alloy one. all good until one of the fu**ing inlets cracked because it was placed too close to the other one so had to get it fixed at an engineers. however its in now and no more coolant issues *crosses fingers*
so it is essentially the same intercooler then? i would have thought the sti one was fatter/more efficient. if its not then i dont care about pink spraypaint haha
oh and yes it will be staying twin turbo for now.
hey anyone know if the top mount intercooler from a wrx sti V4 will fit a bg5c and if so is it a straight bolt on fit? yes i tried the search but came up blank.
