check out the model code stamped into the metal plate on the passenger side enginebay then have a look at the thread on here somewhere that tells you what it all means, that should let you know exactly what you've got.

anyone fitted the cheap ones from trademe? have you seen much difference? are they hard to fit? basically is it worth doing?

i wired that little actuator open all the time and it does seem to be very slightly more rumbly when just driving about town however i also decatted it at the same time so its probably more the decatting that the falppy thing.

you gonna need crossbars first mate, then you get the ski/snowboard holders. just depends what rails youve got on your car either the raised or integrated type

installed new siamese 3 inch system from the turbos back, fitted pimp looking mine's underbody brace that no one will ever see. broke one of the mounts that go onto the intercooler cause didnt know how to take it out properly, swore a lot then got a new part sorted from clubsub within an hour of breaking it.

Got a little angry when putting my intercooler back in and broke the housing on this thing when trying to fit it. Does anyone in the christchurch area have one of these? if you have i need it asap as i'm supposed to drive back to wanaka tomorrow afternoon. thanks heaps.

nah, i think those are technically called speed ripples they were quite big back in the day. Came along shortly after speed holes

yeh i was thinking about more as an indicator as well but at that stage you are going to be hearing some bad sounds anyway i guess.

just wondering if its worth putting in a magnetic sump plug. Seems like a cheap way to protect your engine, has anyone had any experience with these things?

so as far as i can tell, the best replacement for a bg5 would be the 26/27 combo? has anyone done this? did you notice much of a difference? and is it a striaght bolt on mod?

damn that thing looks like a weapon, what is it mainly used for? just normal track racing,hillclimbing or something else?

On a kind of related topic........... just doing a quick background check on gazzy2000. does anyone know him/had dealings with him. seems like a genuine guy but since i'm about to give him some cash without physically grabbing the product i thought i better check up on him. cheers fellas and sorry for threadjacking but didn't know where else to put this.

replaced my cracked factory radiator with a redline performance alloy one. all good until one of the fu**ing inlets cracked because it was placed too close to the other one so had to get it fixed at an engineers. however its in now and no more coolant issues *crosses fingers*

looks better than the hatch i think but the ass is still a little weird, almost looks like an old lancer shape at the back

so it is essentially the same intercooler then? i would have thought the sti one was fatter/more efficient. if its not then i dont care about pink spraypaint haha oh and yes it will be staying twin turbo for now.

hey anyone know if the top mount intercooler from a wrx sti V4 will fit a bg5c and if so is it a straight bolt on fit? yes i tried the search but came up blank. chur chur
