Any reason you're limited to those two options? Do you want to go low? any reason for coilovers vs lowering springs and new shocks? I went with Yellowspeed superlows and have done 55,000km so far and no problems. Go plenty low, Ride firm but from my experience with coilovers they are still a nice ride. Have heard Standard BC golds don't go low in the rear, I believe the same thing applies to the teins but might be wrong.
I believe I saw a few people were interested in doing a group buy, is this still a go? Because I'm keen to get some. Going to do exhaust and can use these in the future for possible turbo build.
Yep 6speed, full leather, both front seats electric, sunroof. It's an nz new and pretty well optioned I bought it at 195kms. Yeah if I ever turbo it I think it's going to be rather expensive but I have put some serious thought into it and a bit of research so it's certainly a possibility
Believe me I would love to. Currently saving for a trip overseas but I plan on keeping this so hopefully one day it'll happen. I feel like this cars worth more to me than it's worth selling. Currently sitting around 252,000km so most people wouldn't touch it
Just a clean today, waiting on my shifter bushings to show up so I can fix the sloppy gearstick, also did an impromptu badge delete whilst cleaning, the letters started falling off so I just took the whole lot off. Looks tidy I think. Also looking at getting a new set of tyres, I want to go up one size. Recently put the front lip back on. Couple of iPhone pics
Might be too late here but if there are people interested in the Raptor headers then I would be keen to know when you're thinking of buying and I will jump in and get a pair too. I've got NZ New Spec B 3.0R currently with rear mufflers deleted. Sounds nice to me but I would like a bit more power without going nuts and building turbo
Yeah I know you need the alignment, hence wanting to know what the factory specs are. Is their tolerance 1degree from factory or 1.5? Trying to gauge what I can get away with. Guessing that I will need adjustable rear camber arms.
Front will be an issue as they poke more in the front than the rear. I have 10mm slip on spacers in rear that even it out. Those will come out once camber arms are installed
I have a feeling I'm sitting around -3-4degrees. I'm just about lip to guard on 18x9.5s
Are you certed? The whole game changes if already certified but I don't want to have to lift it too much to cert as you only get +/- 5%
Hey guys, I am looking at certing my car, I've just got adjustable coilovers on it right now as well as wheels. Seeing as they cert you for wheel size too I will need to cert it on these wheels.
Only thing is the rear has a lot of natural camber, as in its only cambered because I've lowered it.
Will I need to install camber arms too to pull the camber out again? What are the specifications for this chassis? Would like to keep as much camber as possible for tyre clearance.
This might be too late but I have yellow speed super lows. Most comfortable coilovers I've had, had 4 cars on them. They go the lowest, easy to adjust, and seem pretty good quality, have done around 40,000km on them so far. Cheap too. I got mine for $1200
Yeah rears are maxed out would have to go shorter spring and just rely on the shock compressing a bit more. Front has plenty room to go down think I wound it up about 20mm from what was in the box. I have big 225/45s though so can\'t go lower on these wheels
Yeah I\'m in auckland. I will be bringing it up just couldn\'t be bothered fiddling with height just chucked them in. Fronts not even low. Could go heaps more. Rear is almost tucking rim. It will easily clear speed bumps my jetta is lower. Will try for a lip soon
