  1. A lot of imports seem to come over with 100k on them - its still highish though. Its not to say it wont serve you well but obviously depends on how its been looked after to date. Big end bearings are usually the worry there. Any mods done to it?
  2. No matter which way you look at it its still an auto....its hard to do accurate hard shifting on the redline. Still a lot of fun punting around twisties and shifting between 2nd / 3rd holding the gears. I got one because 80% of the time Im too lazy to change gear :-)
  3. At night the air is cooler and denser anyway - youll find a lot of vehicles go better at night than they do during the day
  4. I wouldnt dare compare that to Opticals ;D $400 will buy you a cheap parallel thrills, $$$$$ + prova will get you 245kw
  5. "That is, you're halving the exhaust gas to power each turbo. " And with a subby running cheap parallel, you are running all the gas from 4 cylinders via the first turbo then the second as opposed to (a more efficient) running the gas from 2 cylinders via each turbo. Still a plumbing nightmare..... Single is cleaner. I wouldnt knock it, but theres more knowledge around tried and true tuning for subbies in single turbo mode. But it you just want to be different, dont let us stop you :-)
  6. Should be fine using the existing shocks. Worse thing that can happen is youll have to replace them at a later date :-) Just be prepared to scape bumpers everywhere.......

Cold oil, cold intake, cold turbos, cold engine. Its cold :-) Mine always takes a few k's to warm up, just dont push it hard to warm it up faster, thats where your mechanical damage will come in.
  8. Ive got a leggy - I think Id get myself into a heap of trouble with an STi ;D To me a leggy is an everyday car, whereas the WRX is a weekend car to have fun driving. Granted you can have fun in both, the the WRX wins on the drivability / fun factor
  9. Ones and auto and ones a manual.
  10. Im running 47 offset which go over brembos, but only just. It depends a lot on the spoke design as well as to whether it will fit?
  11. Its suspended because they cant do jack shit until they get info or it turns up. Like Joker says, if theres no leads, then you just cant go door to door until you find it. If it were easy, youd find it yourself!
  12. With 3" youd risk overspool. Theres no reason not to stick with 2.5" for a twin turbo (remembering singles run 3") and then run 2.5 or 3 from the y join
  13. Remembering they are illegal... Roll your guards, thats not <edit> Spacers would make it rub more? Oh, you mean the shock
  14. What are the major things to consider (especially wiring) ?
  15. Car: 2001 Blitzen Suspension: King Lows Mags: Carson 10 spoke wheels diamater: 18" Wheels width: 7.5" Offset: 47 Tyres spec: 215/40/18 did you have to roll the gaurds?: n Other : Clears Brembos
