  1. put it in gear and rock it a few times then try start it, every subaru ive had ive had to do the starters, easy as 2 remove and about $150 to replace if u get shop 2 fix or around $50 2nd hand think there was a thread on here about removing them and replacing the bushes
  2. yea that suks big time with magnatec, the current valvaline is 5l tho, which i got on special for around $45 i think and magnatec was $30 odd but i would have needed another 1L
  3. ok well thats what i may do, also herd that awhile ago that that"s what alot of racers do no one wants a BEB the way i see it is if theres plenty of oil in there and its changed frequently and treated well it should be as realiable as any other car out there, i drive my 1.4 sentra alot harder then the sti

  5. duno what the mechanics used when did last oil change, i did it this time, i usually use 10w 40, never really boost tho, that 10w 60 the race engine?
  6. ive just put in 10w 30, 30ks on rebuild tho
  7. oil and filter change, 10w 30 valvaline engine armour oil
  8. yea ill use bnt also, only across the road to repco also

  11. got to give it some decent boost lastnight, wife is now cleaning and buffing it, she does drive it every day, so fair enough
  12. i also herd that about the BE/BH gtbs but when asked on here was told not so, but its only the rotors on them that would fit a ver5 sti

  14. im also in the same boat, good mate of mine is a mechanic who now lives 2 hours away and was a great help/ done alot for me, but now its just me and best part is, the wife use's the sti most days and i cant have it in bits not knowing what to do next but yes funky pics would be a huge help, cheers bud

  20. as long as there the same "ie" directional and have the same or similar speed rating, must be within 2, like a 83v and 85w there ok found out last week as i needed a new tyre and tyre guy explained it to me also if there directional they must be on the correct way ;D
  21. i just cleaned the sliders and re-greased them, checked under the rebber seal for any crap and was ok, pushed the piston out 2 make sure was working then pushed back in sweet as, there ok now
