Restored close to orgional (wheels, springs and exhausts being the only mods) and some are 100% orgional, ive only got one thats still hacked up but that serves a useful purpose. And having a garage full of them is a pain in the arse but i can live with that.
Theres a pic in the intro bit somewhere, have since sold the silver facelift and replaced it with a black facelift
and also added another 89 rs. Got another type r coming soon.
Ive got a badly damaged V7 sti (hit a tree with passengers door) and am planning to put Everything mechanical out of it into one of my Bc5 Rs legacys. I know its been done before but is there anything i should know to make the job easier?
Ive got a 2wd/4wd push button gearbox with hi and low ratio. It come out of i think a BC3 1.8 legacy wagon.
I use it in a BC5 gt with v2 wrx motor and push type clutch. The 1.8 box has a lower low ratio than the 2.2 box
so allows me to climb up and over bigger and steeper hills without too much effort.
Im not so worried about that bit . The bit that concerns me is things like getting the rev counter, abs and speedo etc to work correctly. i realise that the speedo is easy as its cable operated on the legacy but what sort of input does the v7 ecu require and where will i get it from etc.
