mate i was trying to help you, my shit was directed at WRXONP im not the only one thats got issues with him around here...Trust me iv been here along time now at least 5 years so i know how things go...as you mention clubsub is NOTHING on 5 years ago but hey things change sas do people.
It was the same tuner, same dyno only thing changed was gate location like i said..
Have also been told that they are better on the uppipe but so be it you apparently are the knower of all about subarus and youve been here 2minutes..
umm actually no there is a differnece....
forcefed on here had one mounted on the bottom and then moved to uppipe...Only change and on the same dyno he made more power and better curve from memory...was ages ago so bit hard to remember detials but definatly was the only change to the car between the 2 tunes.
Besides its damn near impossible to plumb back in if its at the bottom..easy to plumb into downpipe if its on uppipe....mr police man dont like them venting.
Sparco front lip...easy to find on TM or similar..Plenty of copys of reasonable quality out there.
I had one on my car look heaps better than just factory bumper imo
yup i run my car round hamptons and had no troubles with 4pots, the fluid and ts2000, it was a hot as day and was pushing the car hard when it was out there and didnt get any fade or issues with the brakes.
4 Pot fronts...just rotors no need for slotted/drilled really on street car i got told when i researched plus they just chew the pads heaps faster.
TS2000 Ferodo or Bendix ultimate are decent pads
RBF660 or the motul equivelant for the brake fluid
That above combo and car will stop sweet and heaps better than the 2pot setup...
Not the expensive but will do the trick.
What are you trying to achieve...its a pretty opened ended question..
Do you want low down torque, lag monster with huge top end, dyno queen, theres literally hundreds of different turbos you could use need a bit more info on what your after.
cant promise you WONT do a bearing but itl certainly help.....even motors with the best sump and the best cooling setup still do bearings on occasion for whatever reason....there aint no bulletproof answer to not running one...just a few things that can be done to prevent it haha
no better man mine had the same amount of baffles as the early one..I sent mine to PBMS when i got it rebuilt...Cheap piece of mind for in a road car in my opinion...given subis genearlly die from oil issues lol
This one had a vq30det conversion with RWD and a big turbo from mmeory, link g4 etc ...pushing reasonable numbers 2 ..has been a NZPC cover car also...lot of work gone into it
stereo was a C**T to get off haha gota take the whole bottom of the dash off including glovebox...pain in my arse but will if i have 2 haha...
it is possible it would be backfeeding i guess>??
Odd that its working fine one minute then its not.....
So my surf has a problem of some sort.
I started it on saturday and it was a bit slow which i thought was odd as if batterys were flatish...moved and then parked it. After i parked it the stereo and clock etc stayed on as if it was on 1 click with the key.
Took faceplate off stereo and left it, moved it later in the day and was slow again so drove up road and back then parked and hte stereo and everything switched off this time so wasnt worried.
Drove later in the day and same deal switched off no problem.
This morning i get up and walk into the lounge and i can hear a stereo/sub cranking and it turns out the stereo has somehow started in the night (was definatly off when i parked it)
Any ideas WTF is up with this haha...
Saturdays efforts.
Changed goathearders adjustables took out his cuscos for STILTD car and put in some Tein adjustables...need keeper springs to make it lower than rally height :-\
Then did oil change on mates b2500 ute and measured up and ordered FMIC to fit...
Also washed my work ute for the first time since i started 6 months ago and apparently its white not grey/black haha .. even washed surf while i was at it..
Productive day all round
