  4. if the primary was blown then the secondary would blow boost back out it and you would get no boost .
  5. hows it going to fk a bearing ? if anything it might leak some oil into the exhaust while the car is off .
  6. inner shoulder wear is lack of front castor . as a lot of 4wd cars have .

  9. thermostat pretty easy to do aswell make sure you are competent at bleeding the cooling system before you fk a good car its sole job is to regulate minimum engine temp . not anything else . well it also provides some restriction for the waterpump to create pressure against untill you get round to fixing it you could experiment with some rangi methods like cardboard in front of some of the radiator or a g clamp on a rad hose . have had to do both before . but one was a hilux and one was a jeep does the heater still go ? thats the important bit .

  11. yeah its a bit like that . the door literally flung open at just the right moment to get infront of the car and ripped off . its a narrow road where there isnt room for opening doors and traffic during school hours . carelessness on parked cars fault . insurance said other persons fault . and if they dont think so then grey area then disputes tribunal which we will win anyway you couldnt open a door infront of a cyclist then yelling at the cyclist for hitting the door
  12. so down the narrow street where everyone drops their kids off for school some bizzy ditch who is parked opens her car door infront of my mrs who is doing school drop off speeds and the door gets folded right around haha . obviously we'll let the insurance companies fight over it but what are peoples thoughts ?

  15. the tcu decides the tq split based on varying wheel speeds . apparently it reverts to 90 ft 10 rear unless the fronts are slipping then it feeds towards 50 50 . i believe it is usually more 60 40 tho as you can drift an auto legacy on grass pretty easy without having the fronts spin heaps first . do you understand the difference between a clutch pack and a centre diff . not a clutch pack within a diff . ? the auto transmission is only driven by gears to the front wheels . by the tcu deciding to lock up a clutch can it transfer some power to the rear wheels .
  16. no . that leads to the clutch pack being in 99 % front split and 1% to the rears through "drag"( internal clutch drag" only .
  17. best as far as what ? no plugs is the best cheapest bkr6e is coppers and costs $6 a plug and will work good for 30 000 k the platinums everywhere reccomends will cost $37 a plug and last 100000 k
  18. light flywheels are aweseome . rev match is so much faster . unsettles the car way less on every shift . can launch it awesome without breaking stuff
  19. i would do it in heart beat , yes in 10 years you will still get in a wrx and the hard ride and bitey clutch and general rowdyness and hoonigan will put a smile on your face. but its the same smile youll get when you walk outside and see the r35
  20. the tcu wouldnt give 2 fks if you changed the final drive ratio , it would just think you are doing a 50 when you are actually doing 55 . i agree with the logic of your un plug the ecu tho . you will definatly notice . in third gear it prolly wont even have the power to skip a wheel . will get half way round a figure 8 and feel like it wants to stop . or yeah it will fee like locked rear diff but more severe
  21. what is the box out of ? there may be wiring differences between them . useless bit of info its solenoid c and full power to it is fwd and no power to it is 50 50 locked 4wd
  22. oh come on guys ,youve all failed this car is an auto autos dont have a centre diff , they have direct drive to the front wheels . and clutch pack to drive the rears . like a backwards gtr . its something electrical . maybe u didn't plug something it ? checked fuses ?
