Boostin, would you be keen to pretty please have a look? (or anyone with experience for that matter)
[me=chrisjunkie]hopes it doesn't end up being expensive!![/me]
EDIT: SMF supports IRC / me code hahaha
Showed it that yes even though it APPEARS to be a legacy.. Its still an STi at heart
(don't think the guy in the cefiro was too happy hahaha ;D)
I do not condone racing or speeding.
Do you remember how much Reuben got his wheel + airbag from pick a part for?
Mines actually worse than the OP's so maybe i'll keep an eye out down there for one
Yeah thats true I suppose, tyres will make the world of difference plus some stiffening plus a wheel alignment etc
Maybe go see firestone this weekend ;D
Also, Anyone on here know about the clunk. Would rather fix it myself if possible. Is it critical?
I can get the clunk to happen if I am accelerating in 1st (slowly) and then just taking foot of pedal. if the car jolts the clunk occurs. What will this cost to fix?
The thing is the suspension may disappear sometime soon. SO STUCK
??? :-\
Hi all,
So as it stands I currently have stock bilstein suspension in my BH. I have no upgraded sway bars etc so fully stock.
I have some MY01's on the front and something weird on the back.
When I do a hard takeoff (rare) I get a doof that happens in the back which I believe to be something in the suspension (a bushing maybe)?
I have a budget of about 1k and can either get some cusco coilovers in v. good condition or I can put RE050's all round. (obviously in the future more upgrades will come)
I have had advice from a few people already but I have no idea what my best option should be and I am kinda stuck in the middle for a decision.
Help and experience greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Chris
its the bov thats flutters and not the turbo...
i think i heard a similar thing in a v3 wagon but wasnt sure if was a turbo surge
Yep, it's the BOV fluttering. Not a chance it's actual compressor surge. It's only when you boost a little bit and let off slowly, you get the full on PSSHHH normally.
Can I do this on my BH? or no because of phase II engine? :-\
If you want a volume knob, get a double potentiometer and splice the RCA to 3.5 mm onto it
Middle pin is output, one is input and the other is ground.
If you aren't electronically minded then basically you change how much of your input is actually output. Yeah. Works well for me
New owner, oil and cambelt changed did about 800kms then BANG. Luckily it was just outside home. Bought a new shortblock used old heads and single turbo conversion ;D
I take it down to the oil in the car being really old when I got it and then a change in type of oil...
Murphy's Law applies "New owner = car trouble"
So yeah it looks difficult to fix BUT once you have taken one apart it will be easy.
I thought my EJ207 was hard to decipher but once in bits it was actually a stroke of weasels pee!
How about people who ask if you have a blow off valve? My response:
"No Sh!t sherlock all turbo's need them"
"na man blow off valves make that cool noise"
"*sigh*
Most people only think a blow off valve makes the psssh noise and don't actually know it rids of pressure.
Same thing with people asking if I have a wastegate...
: : :
Haha, I know someone like that too and I dunno if its the same person but I know they will actually do it. Probably someone different as the person I'm thinking of has lots of experience plus the money to do so...
BTW, whats with the hidden "sorry nick"?
