i have a ver7 ra
when coming on bosst the car hesitates for a second or so its really werid no engine check light at all.
replaced spark plugs last week still does it
car is 100% completly stock!
any help would be great
i still have mine but when i forged it i wish i got rid of them....
my last build the mechanic that built them was asked to remove them and block them off....well he did half he removed them but didnt block them off....its a big mess and another rebuild...
My car does the exact same thing with power fc been over a year still trying to find out why...one mechanic will blame the tune the other blames somthing else...it really bugs me id love to find out
i was told by another member my o2 sensor might be gone and now iv looked more into it im pretty convinced!!
now i have a few questions
1. Whats the diffrence between a universal and a authentic subaru one? other than the price
2. does anyone know the code for a bosch plug for a 98 sti coupe its the one that plugs into the headers
3. can my old one be tested?
cars being running flawless since its rebuild...but along comes the rain and a few issues have popped up
firstly the car feels like its suddenly lost a bunch of power it does bizzare random jerking no harsh ones but obviously i feel them...still comes on boost but it extremly hesitant. car is stil very drivable it just dsnt feel right ...im thinking afm is dying
second startup idle is the pits it serges untill it seeks out the warm up revs and im been in contact with my tuner and he hasnt changed anything since it worked perfect on the tune..
thirdly this one im not as worried at random times my car will smoke a bit on startup but only wen its restarted with water temp between 52-60 degrees...i do have oversized pistons??? its ever so random maybe that...maybe tired turbo??
engine was totally forged and rebuilt for the second time few months back so im just concerned...car still drives sumwhat fine but not at its full potencial...
any ideas would be great
My car has recently been rebuilt and it drives fine!! EXCEPT
plugs were pulled out last week and they were covered in fuel! and not just one suggesting a faulty inj all 4!!.. put new plugs in and its obviously fine at the moment but i dont quite have any idea the cause..
now i think its overfueling on cold start because its taking around 20seconds to find its revs itl start fine then serge for around 20secs (600-900revs) before seeking warming up temps 1000revs..thats only on idle if i put my foot down to put it on 1000revs itl do it
on the power fc on some start ups the inj cycle will go as high as 15% when cold
my car has a forged rebuilt ej20 stock inj split rail and power fc...
have talked to the tuner and hes told me when he tuned it 6 weeks ago (changed plugs before and after tune) it was fine! and the cold start hasnt been tampered (since last tune where it was fine) that was all checked when redoing the tune
so far we obviously put in spark plugs and changed one of the sensors on the crossover pipe!
im thinking where to start...it has been suggested to flow test my inj
i have thought maybe o2 sensor or afm but i really dont know
any help would be great
the hand controller is powering on as per normal
the boost controll option is always switched off havnt used it...but its worth checking again may also pay to check the afm while im at it
no errors on the dash
i havnt reset it to the factory tune that would be the worst case sinerio!! and at this stage until im absolutly positive that every other way has been tried then i will do that
this is where it is bizarre nothing has been touched on the power fc so i cant understand why it just wont work
power fc was brought brand new last april

my car has been sitting dorment for a good few months mechanic went to start it it wouldnt turn over it was cranking but wouldnt start
hand display was working but the car wouldnt crank
he put a ver3 ecu in and BAM car started
nothing on the ecu has been touched just motor out motor in nothing else has changed!!
any ideas
