I got brand new bilsteins for about $300 + Gst each last summer and that was retail price from my mechanic. So it may be cheaper to buy new.

If the engine is that thrashed already than everything else will most likely be thrashed too. If you get the car fixed and the gearbox fucks out in six months time because of the abuse/lack of servicing you won\'t be very happy. If you can get your money back then take it and run.

I would take the car back to where you got it from.
