  1. oh and i went to vtnz with my highly modded green stickered legacy and they told me "get your cert 1st to save money, there\'s no way you will have it upto standard in 28 days so save some money and bugger off" not those words exact but its what they meant
  2. You still legally have a wof until it expires on the date on your windscreen, however in the eyes of an insurance broker your car must stay at that level so anything not upto standard means that in their eyes you don\'t have one as it makes you a risk to crash ect and means a higher chance of an accident. However you are not moving and you are hit they will pay you out as the integrity of the car dose not come into the question
  3. New turbo is in, Bends have been ordered and should allow me to set up the intercooler pipeing under the headlights
  4. New non abs lines and master are in and new rocker cover seals
  5. What box seal was leeking? thats next on my list of things to sort out
  6. Is that a v7-8 alternator? Looks like it. Is that all you needed to cut out of the bumper can you still run the bumper iron mounted in the chassis rails if so what size intercooler? Most people have mounted the iron on top of the intercooler thats what I thought I would do when I got there. Its a v4 one but just upside down, umm i haven\'t relay gotten that far but i think im going to have to do that, I\'m wating for the bends to arrive so i can see what im going to have to do to make it work. running a 600x280x80, would have to measure it but dont have a tape on me To be honest im making it up as i go
  7. ive added flipping the front mount and running intercooler piping under the lights to it also just because i can haha
  8. Gotta love those pink stickers, I\'m sporting a green one
  9. I have talked to one guy and he said as long as i fully remove all the abs components it will pass a cert. will put pics up when i get a camera but at the moment all the lines in the front are out and the unit
  10. Yep sure am, you can always bolt a turbonetics or garrett turbo on at a later date, i have alot to do to it to get it certed so a $350 turbo will do for now as the old vf28 is blown and a turbo wasn\'t in the budget. ;)
  11. in the past week i have flipd my manifold, removed my ABS unit and lines, replaced brakes, gotten engien ready to make a coustom manifold to fit a T04e T3/4 turbo, Painted rocker covers and manifold + wastegate and BOV matt black, ripped out all the gay blue hoses and more haah
  12. lmao crap like that is fair game when the owner fails to realise why cars have suspension and how it works. i\'d take my little german car over a dozen of those any day. ;D Some cars on this crimes page shouldn\'t be here, that V8 is sick to, nice fitment, rim color and the suspension is sweet. it depends on what you want it for as not everyone wants suspension travel. it may be RWD and set up for drifting and in that case you don\'t want any body rool.
  13. Doing it right on so many levels!! Now thats what i like to see
  14. New motor just arrived, EJ20k from a 98 STi Type-R. Will strip it down and have the brarings replaced and rings + rods then start fab work on the lower mounted turbo extractors and coustom mounts to move the motor back ;D ;D ;D
  15. Blew a big end haha new motor time after i blow it up properly!!! ;D
  16. Yea man that's a real good! looks like he is getting alot more torque and has improved response and power
  17. hmm yea would be a mish to get a cert but 100mm back looks good instead of 60mm ;D . Funky thats a good idea ill have to work that into it as i cannot for the life of me find a small electric oil pump =( Thease are all realy good ideas and it looks better finished than i thought. The hate evo one looks hell sick like that, may have to have a talk to the guys that will be certing it and see what ill have to do to make it legal with motor further back maby and yea those headers are what im trying to make B4 2000 but higher like Funkytown said. Are there any issues with puting the radiator just behind the intercooler out the front of the car? just another crazy thought kinda want to keep the flat standard bonnet :-X
  18. after the mods have been done i.e bottom mount turbo + radiator mods + FMIC chop and change and front faceing plenuim, i would have removed about 800mm (31 inches) from the exhaust side and removed the colideing of the exaust gasses due to subaru extractors not being well flowed and also removed about 1.5meters (59 inches) if not more from the intercooler piping as from the turbo to the intercooler, the pipe will only be about 200mm (7 inches) and from intercooler to the throttle body will be about 1meter. would make a good difference i think and look cool + im all about being somewhat different ;D im sure a sr20det would be a bigger hassle :-X i do all my work myself and its fun ;D ;D ;D
  19. oh do you guys think im running the twin turbo setup that joker put up at the start? that was just an image he showed me. i was wanting to run a single turbo at the front bottom center so all 4 pipes will be feeding one turbo... does that change anything lol
  20. Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like.............................. why? like I said before. Exhaust plusing would cause a hammering effect on the turbine blades. With turbo being so close to the ports it would more than likely amplify this. Have a look around the interwebz for people that have done turbo coversions on 1 & 2 cyclinder motorbike engines and see what sort of problems they have run into. How to fix this? custom build an manifold to bring the turbos further away form the exhaust ports, add a cross over pipe between two manifolds. so even with the turbo setup in the front center of the motor it would have this issue? from the ports the exhaust gasses are going to have like 400ish mm of piping to go through before it gets to the turbo. im sure if this was a issue then sr20 dets and evos and also turbo honders ect will be blowing turbos day in and day out from this as my extractors i had pland to make would be the same length as theirs
  21. what does this even say in english? im assuming a normal twisted set up like we run with upside down FMIC under the headlights??? if thats the case then.. so what this means is im going to be using thicker radiator thats not as wide so when it sits in the factory position there are two gaps ether side of it. then im going to get my fromt mount and flip it upside down and cut off the intake and exit pipes and face them backwards with a slight angle up. ill then run my intercooler pipeing through the gaps i have created to the intercooler and from the intercooler to a front faceing intake manifold. to stop air geting through the gaps and averting the radiator ill fold some alloy plate and fit it ether side to funnel air to were its needed Sorry... I wrote it how i think.. very fast without worrying that other people cannot understand it
