  1. Is that going from a 23 to a 22? Was it the same dyno?
  2. Stock plastic ones like to break and damage turbos. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
  3. Funny you say that about the ECU. AJ (subirex) and Alex at Highbrook both thought the ECU has been played with. Here\'s a pic of it opened up. http://iforce.co.nz/i/dtv4krtj.bhu.jpg Don\'t see anything out of the ordinary. My guess is the Type R/RA engine and ecu is a bit more aggressive from factory.
  4. Probably next year but not yet. The engine spits oil from the BOV when and driver\'s side heads knock when cold. I want to rebuild/forge it. Then a G3 or G4, fuel pump, injectors. Still need to get it certed as well... Full time student + only working few hours a week = not a lot of money to spend on cars
  5. I\'m not too sure, just going by what I was told. In the little box bottom right it says Less boost, Out of injectors and fuel pump, det. I was actually running 20 PSI during the beginning but we had to turn it down to 18.5 because the tuner said it was too lean to even do a pull. (I was boosting around on 20 psi the day before....oops!) vid
  6. Here\'s a scan Not sure why it\'s that laggy. Maybe need a new boost controller.
  7. Made 211kw @ 18.5psi. Running lean up top. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
  8. Can\'t find that exact code but it sounds like its an auto v2 wrx wagon. Try here. http://www.catherineandken.co.uk/sti/wrx.html
  9. Played with boost controller to get it ready for dyno run tomorrow. I will give a chocolate to the person with the closest guess at the next meet*. A little tired V3 STI done 176 km with VF30, FMIC, 2.5 inch exhaust, 18 PSI. *Auckland meets only.
  10. Otto motors on Harris Rd. Do good cash prices and work is of good quality.
  11. It will run 7 psi if you have set it up to run wastegate pressure. Any form of boost control introduced will raise the boost pressure. I don\'t think it is a good idea to run an external waste with a boost controller that you cannot adjust. When I switched from my internal wastegate to an external wastegate. The boost was raised about 2-3 psi with no adjustment made to the boost controller. I had to dial that back down with my electronic boost controller. One fun fact that I learned is that if you run wastegate pressure and a screamer pipe you can hear that the wastegate is opening much sooner than what the spring is set for. I.E. with my 11 psi spring I could here the screamer as early as 4 psi.
  12. Just put the car on some blocks of wood and managed to fit underneath. It\'s not very low at the back (need to roll guards). Sway bar was so easy to replace, took longer replacing air filter in my tt legacy.
  13. Replaced the swaybar with a whiteline 22mm thanks to evowrx for a mean deal. Old one looked pretty beef so I put the new one on at the stiffest setting. And fark me gave it a little bit of gas out of a corner (not boosting) and I could feel the rear unsettling. Definitely need to give it a go down Twilight rd this weekend.
  14. FWIW when my AFM went bad I was getting white/blueish smoke out the exhaust.
  15. Do the solid mounts increase the gearbox whine like solid shifter bushings do?
  16. Haha, I need to do this too! Really sick of the screamer pipe.
  17. I don\'t even keep track of my WRX. Heres my auto bg5 which I daily http://www.fuelly.com/driver/evljat/legacy It\'s getting worse each tank, I think it\'s because of the cold weather.
  18. Wastegate could of caked it. Try free boosting it and see if you can go above wastegate pressure. BE EXTRA CAUTIOUS IT WILL SPOOL AS FAST AS POSSIBLE. Also wouldn\'t hurt to check all the grounds and vac hoses again. Hook up 12v to the solenoid and see if you can hear it click. Might be a long shot but if you have the filter on the vac hose going to the controller hose try removing it and see if it makes a difference. I\'ve been down this road too.
  19. What is the ID of the top radiator hose on a 1996 STI? Need to fit a water temp sensor hose adapter.
  20. Took the fin bit out of my HKS blow off valve. Sounds much better now.
  21. The guy I bought them from said a BLE Legacy, he had them in his GF8.
  22. OK sweet. I have one bad rear shock and I could just use the top hat + the yellow springs that are on there now and chuck this in? Would I need the 14mm camber bolts too? thanks.
  23. Would these fit my gc8 http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/subaru/suspension/auction-585454998.htm
  24. Does the far left in pic 3 look bent? And would these fit a V3 GC8? Forgot to put link http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=572057560
