But really even if it was a Track car and not a Drag car built to go in a straight line, would it really be that bad on the track without power steering? Once you're moving normal steering isn't all thaaat bad.
+1 for Innovate. Got one of these a year or so ago.

Was just under $300 for the LC-1 kit and Gauge IIRC

LOL, I can't say that any of my 3 BEB's have sounded at all like a tractor. And I spend a shitload of time on all sorts of different tractors.
But yes I've had exhaust leaks sound a bit that way.
Post up an audio clip as suggested, if you are able to.
Lol @ the plastic chairs. When I had my car all stripped out last year I had a 20ltr paint bucket seat for when I moved the car out of the shed. I wrote 'Sparco' on the side with a vivid for shits and giggles haha.
Yea I have a set of Ver7 STi forged pistons in the garage aswell, just got off my arse and had a look. They do appear to be forged (no cast marks at all). Where the hell did the term Semi-Forged come from anyway? Seeing as forging is a physical process, I don't see how you could 'semi'-forge something.
Edit - Here is where the term came from.

Here is the Trademe add for the black Version7 with the green lipped wheels that was posted 2 pages back.

Personally don't think it's thaaat bad.
*pulls out receipt*
$39.99 for Machine itself 4hrs.
$6.50 for Upholstery Hand Tool.
$6.99 for Upholstery Cleaner.
$6.99 for Stain Remover.
And a $20 bond as well.
Was that at me?
Haven't got any recent pics, but here's a few below of before I dropped the engine in. It's the factory Equal length Ver8 Headers, Up-pipe and Turbo. Nothing flash. Although they appear stainless from factory which I was presently surprised to find (can't see it in pics there as the factory heat shields are still on.)
Yea quite possibly. The GC8's are close to 200kg lighter then the GDB's as well.
Wtf. Don't know why that last pic is sideways. It keeps rotating it when I post it! lol
Mine's like that, except it's not a hollow sound, more a nice deep raspy sound. I love it over the old un-equal length header noise. That's with twin scroll equal length headers and 3" TBE HKS Silent Hi-Power.
What turbo you running?
Would be a VF37 but correct me if im wrong lol
Correct.

Oh gawd. Please tell me that is a photoshop job and there isn't really an LS1 in an S202
Edit: Just noticed the link posted as well. Dam it is real. Is that just an S202 grill, I see no roof vent etc?
Bloody Americans and there MUST V8 everything attitude...
I've got factory suspension and 17/45/215 tyres and it annoys the feck out of me at times. Having a quite exhaust really emphasizes how bad the road noise really is. I'll probably be trying an asymmetrical tyre next.
I noticed the same lack of sidewall strength in the T1R's, and same thing with the Proxies 4's so it must be a Toyo thing. For this reason I would not buy them again. Oh and the road noise was quite bad with these IMO
Quite liked the Eagle F1 GSD3's all around really. They did wear quite fast though, so far T1R's are looking like they will get more kms. Maybe I'm just more of a Nana these days though.
Interesting. I saw this car at a car show in Dargaville (Northland) about 2 years ago. Must of switched hands a few times since then, doubt he drove up from Chch just for this small car show.
I don't really know a lot about it, but I remember reading about a HCCI engine that GM made a few years ago. Something about tricking a petrol engine into working like a diesel engine or something along those lines. And something about 40% less fuel used or something like that. Sounds pretty good to me.
I do remember how HCCI was a lot harder to control then a typical diesel or petrol engine etc, and there were pretty high pressures involved. Will they be reliable? And if they are made reliable will they be affordable?
