  1. Have you guys had issues with this sensor before? Anyone know what causes them to fail?? I've had 2 stuff out on me in 2 years on my V7 Sti. Just happened again today. Same symptoms as the last 2 times. Car sounds like its running on 3 cylinders, back fires, no power. The last second hand sensor i bought lasted me a year before it crapped out today. Will find another second hand one for cheap to use in the meantime while i order a brand new one from overseas. Seems to be about $120 cheaper then buying here!!
  2. Nah not yet bro. I got some injectors for it as well. Just on the hunt for some headers and intercooler then will get them all installed at once then take it for a retune and see what results i get.
  3. Fitted the new CE28N's and Process West cold air intake - cheers Marc and Boon for the quality gear!!!
  4. Yep that's right. I have the top of the range whistler, not as good as V1 but still does the trick for me. It has picked up a weak K alert when driving past the new speed cameras and definitely picks up KA 34.7 from the patrol cars. I've also turned everything but KA and Laser off on mine.
  5. Check out NZ Track day on Facebook. These are pretty good but can get really busy. There is one on the 6th Feb. Otherwise Pukekohe does controlled testing, check out the calender on their website for available days. The last one i went to, there were only 4 or 5 cars and 4 bikes. Its good if you want to learn the track, your car etc.. with no pressure.
  6. hey man did you notice much difference with the Grimm speed cross pipe? With the tune you could go see Raijin, thats who i got mine tuned through. I know hes currently not doing it at the moment but if you dont mind waiting hes well worth it.
  7. Full cambelt kit done, rocker cover gaskets, gearbox and diff oil. Rallytech radiator shroud and major power mod
  8. Have been looking at the Kartboy short shifter kit and bushings, does anyone know if this will fit my V7 Sti?
  9. does anyone know if this axle would fit my V7 Sti? http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/subaru/suspension/auction-820873732.htm
  10. Took my car to Raijin a few months ago to get my V7 Ra tuned. Al know his stuff and takes his time to get the tune right and makes sure everything is all good before sending you on your way. I think i ended up spending about 4 hours with him. Really nice guy too and would recommend him to anyone wanting to get a tune done.
  11. yeah i'll probably head down for a look if its a nice day
  12. Wicked! A Telmann freezer; don\'t see them very often Don\'t see them "working" very often. ;D Hahaha....yeah scored it for free off my partners grandma, mint condition and looks new. Think shes had it for over 30 or 40 years
  13. My mates wife has a 2005 S4 wagon, was mint for about a couple of years but has had constant issues with it the last 9 months or so, parts are expensive, they cant wait to get rid of it. And another mate has a 2001 S4 wagon, V6 twin turbo. Bought it off an old guy and has a full service history with Continentals cars, he\'s had for about a year or so and has had to replace a whole lot of sensors cause it was running like crap, has started playing up again and now turbos are leaking oil every where.
  14. removed the clear side markers on the RA and replaced with these ones windows screenshot
  15. I had the same thing happen to me 2 weeks ago but no CEL came on. dont know if yours would be the same fault but I needed to try as sort asap as its my only mode of transport, so went and got a scan tool plugged in and it came up with Cam position sensor. I pulled the front one out, cleaned it, disconnected battery and reset ecu and car has been running mint since. have ordered another sensor as a precaution so i can replace it, should arrive this week.
  16. Hi guys I randomly met a previous owner of my car while pumping gas yesterday and he gave me a bit of hisory on it which was interesting. He mentioned that the turbo has had work done on it. I asked him what it was and he said that the turbo is a Spec C turbo. I said to him that on the outside of the housing it still says VF30, he said yeah thats right but internally its all Spec C as he had it done, so its pretty much a VF34. Now my question is, is there any obvious way to find out if this is correct?? or would you have to pull it apart??
  17. Hi guys dont know if this site has already been posted or shared but i have found it quite handy when looking for part numbers. The link is currently for Wrx sti models from V7 to V10 but you can go back and edit and choose other models or versions http://opposedforces.com/parts/impreza/en_g11/type_23/
