  1. yea I want to trust my left leg but know I'll be cursing and swearing when I'm stuck in gridlock ha. The other positive is one I'm looking at doesn't cost the price of a manual either, suppose you'd expect that with a as you say a half sti haha
  2. Hi Guys just wondering what everyone's thoughts are of the 09 sti A-lines? Any known issues? What to look out for? I know its an auto haha, but just recently got a new job and moved to Auckland and like the idea of an auto for getting around here (coming from Marlborough she is a bit different). One I'm looking at has done a bit over 100k (has had its 100k service) but apart from that it's in amazing condition. Any help/info would be greatly appreciated Thanks in advance
  3. Man I've got an exam Thursday morning!, would have been so keen for ribs!

  7. sweet, cheers guys will check it out this weekend.
  8. So due to this weather I have now found a swimming pool in the boot of my wrx. she leaking in the top left side/corner. I\'m pretty sure its the rubber seal, but theres no cracks or holes. just wondering if anyone has had this problem before and know the best way to fix it?
  9. Any particular universal one I show look out for or are they pretty much the same? also got an idea of price? was quoted $240 for an OEM one earlier today.
  10. Just some help, Going to sell the Misses 2001 20n but it needs a new O2/AFR sensor (the one plugged into the extractors) Do I buy 2nd hand or new? and if new, is it a case of just biting the bullet with the expensive Subaru one? or is there a cheaper universal one that will work just as well, heard stories about some universals working and other not. Thanks in advance
  11. Anyone got a spare 52k? This thing would be insane! Thinking it would be pretty front heavy though http://www.trademe.co.nz/667718306
  12. Sweet, will do looks like it\'s going to be a busy weekend Cheers for the help guys
  13. Guess I\'m changing the oil this weekend, any particular brand better than others? I did noticed the gearbox loosened up quite a bit after it\'s last service in sept Sometimes it doesn\'t like going in, but was told because it\'s a crash gear just give it a little rev and it should go in sweet. Crunches is might be the wrong word, shifting between gears is fine it\'s just when it is in R, 1st or 2nd and the clutch is fully pressed in/engaged it sounds like something grinds for a couple of seconds but when letting the clutch off its fine. Sorry should have explained it better in the first place haha
  14. Hey guys, hope Santa has been good to everybody, sure was to me ;D Recently whenever I push the clutch in when shifting from rev to 1st, 1st to 2nd and sometimes 2nd to 3rd it crunches, I haven\'t noticed it slipping just making a crunching noise like its not engaging/disengaging properly. Reckon it will just be a worn clutch or something worse?. The car is a 2003 wrx, stock (performance wise), just clicked over 130kkms. if it is the clutch, what kit would you recommend? Cheers
  15. New, well it better have been cost enough haha
  16. About 4 months old and pretty much a new air filter both were replaced when I found out it was starting to hiccup
  17. So the misses 2001 Subaru impreza 20n manual is being a pig of a thing. It hates cold/rainy days or sitting around unused. In low revs it coughs and splutters feels as though it ain\'t getting enough fuel, then once it hits 2 rpm it surges it goes all right. Also if your traveling along sometimes the power drops and feels like it\'s going to stall, pretty scary when your going 80km around a corner!. Since I\'ve been away she took it in to the local Subaru guy and after taking it back twice they ended up replacing the afm. That helped for about a week then was right back to where we started. I haven\'t driven it much but thrashing it seems to help and you have to ride the clutch to pull semi smoothly away from a stop. There are no cels or errors also. I thought it might be a bad air/fuel ratio sensor? Any help/suggestions would be great
  18. more info and pics http://subiesport.tv/site/2013/11/2015-subaru-wrx-official-specs-mega-gallery/ I reckon the front end looks like an Evo, just rounded.
  19. Yea I would like to but don\'t have the Room/Tools here to do so, and since I\'m new thought it would be a bit presumptuous to ask for help on one of my first posts haha. Was told to get in touch with the guys at Flat four Specialists so will see what they come back with.
  20. Hey guys, This question has probably been asked a lot, but where is the best/most reliable place to get something looked at/general service perferably close to the city?. I am new to the area so have no clue where to go. Looks like the rear diff in my 03 wrx might be leaking, also need to get the brakes replace/skimmed. Please bear in mind I am a student and money is tight at the moment, so the "cost effective" option would be best haha but am willing to pay for good service. Thanks in advance and hope everyone is ok after mother natures little temper tantrum.
