  1. Thinking of selling my 05 3.0RB for 18k
  2. That blue one is also a home made STI, its a pre-facelift with S402 look a like bolt ons.
  3. Hmm what offsets are available? I'm looking for around 45 offset, 8-9" wide, 18" diameter.
  4. Wheels, body kit, trim pieces, GT may or may not have Bilsteins.
  5. 2003+ legacy would suit 18x8-8.5, 42-48 offset. I could be interested in some DPT or Gravels
  6. Lol wat I got excited until I saw all 5x114.3. FAIL. Get in some DPN: Gravel: And someone has to make 5x100 Grids fit
  7. Exhaust, I/C, (bigger turbo), Retune.
  8. Any decent exhaust shop could do it. They still have a but of rumble anyway just due to the design of the engine. The exhaust note is a lot more "barky" sounding than a normal 4 cylinder.
  9. I find the 2.0GT has a lot more mid range torque. The 3.0R is doesn't have that much low down either. The 3.0 is a rev happy beast. The 2.0 turbo is a boost junkie with more a bit more pull. The 2.0 turbo is also faster all round. If you have to ask if you can turbo the 3.0 then no, you can't turbo the 3.0. That service quote is far too much as well http://www.subaru.co.nz/Service/Service_Estimate.php quotes $1755 for wingers auckland to do a service on a 2.0 GT manual.
  10. 2.0, 2.0R, 2.0 GT, 2.0 GT Spec B, 3.0R and 3.0R Spec B. Probably a 2.5 variant too.
  11. Hmm I think I might pick up one for my second legacy.
  12. Yep 100k service is expensive regardless of engine. Although a bit cheaper not having to do the cambelt.
  13. Yep, I have had a couple of expensive repairs on my turbo BP, but I wouldn't say it was unreliable, any car could need an expensive repair at some point. The only advice I would give is to find one that at least looks like it has been looked after and is in good condition. Check out the 3.0R version as well. Overall they are pretty decent cars.
  14. Check out the 3.0 or the S4 if you have the cash.
  15. 300kw needs a fair amount of work. ECU, Fuel pump/Injectors, Cams, exhaust, intercooler, etc. I'm keener on the STI's these days. 250kw STI track weapon FTW.
  16. AVLS head you mean , plastic intake manifold too.
  17. I think those that are commenting that it should have a manual/it's a wank mobile are completely missing the point of the vehicle. Its a Luxury car! You are meant to have comfortable leather seats, high tech everything, super build quality. A manual simply does not work for this sort of vehicle. Sure you could hoon down the autobahn in your 250kw WRX at 260kph but you are going to be damn busy doing it while the Merc driver is casually adjusting his seat heater. The driving style is also completely different, the AMG has enough torque to pull the sun closer, you don't have to work it at all to get where you are going swiftly. Ubercruiser, and wicked. If you wanted something more involving I would perhaps head towards the Audi RS range or BMW M range.
  18. Hmm not sure on the exact name of the valve. It was running lumpy as hell at idle. Valve was replaced and it was sweet after that. My 3.0 has adjustables, sway bars, intake, exhaust. Really all I can do without spending stupid amounts of money is get a retune.
  19. Rear main seal failed, O2 sensor, Bung ICV. While they were doing the seal I forked out for cambelt and water pump. The engine hasn't blown up or anything, it just turns out that replacing that seal is quite an expensive task. Hmm I guess it is quite tough to pick without testing the car first heh. If I was buying again I would pick up a manual GTB. I've modded my 3.0 as much as I can and I wan't to go further
  20. Get a 3.0 that isn't drinking oil? I've spent ~$1800 in repairs on my 2004 GT and nil on my 2005 3.0R-B. Either model that has been maintained correctly should be fine.
  21. No they do not. Only a poorly example will burn oil (like any other car). The 3.0 is a great motor. The 2.0T is just a bit quicker and has more mid range torque.
  22. Hmmm, not a fan, the model doesn't work with your car at all... Im sure I have seen better pics of your car as well. I like most of you car, temps me into buying a BE5 . The slots on the rear and mesh on the front don't do anything for me. Regardless, good effort in getting some media coverage!
