  1. I went and saw this in person but the lip that is on the end of the actual muffler overhangs heaps and decided against it as I thought it looked horrible! go and see it before you buy it
  2. Hey Tony thanks for sharing that, exactly what I'm after. Will try and get a mate to make one up for me. Cheers!
  3. Hey guys sorry for the late reply. Sounds like lots of people have this occurring and sounds 'normal' but I would really rather not have it.. So motor is almost out and will go and drop it to the builder to see if he can sort the problem. Will let you know what he finds when I get around to giving it to him!
  4. I have an X force system fitted with a blue tip X Racing muffler (this exact one http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/performance/exhaust/auction-842112364.htm ) Heres a video of the sound (with semi tuned headers)
  5. Hell no as in don't drop the engine?
  6. Hey guys what fittings have people used to run a remote reservoir? v4 pump. Will be using -10an fittings Cheers
  7. Damn you guys. My '07 outback gets 450kms and my Type R gets 300-400kms haha
  8. 30 min job? can get in there with the motor in the car? That would be ideal!
  9. Hmmm sounds like a lot of people get it but if the builder recons he will pull it apart and check for me maybe I should just do it..
  10. If you don't like the sound put a stock one back on.
  11. What part bro? I hear that built engines often use more oil but surely not the smoking? Also I think the amount of oil being used would be a bit more than would be tolerated even if it is a forged engine??
  12. Hey guys, So the situation is on start up the car will blow a reasonably large cloud of white/blue-ish smoke out of the exhaust. The car does not blow any smoke while normal driving or under load. The motor has used oil from day 1 but at first the engine builder and myself thought it was just the rings seating. The motor has been rebuilt in the last 6000kms with oversized wiscos etc. There is a small amout of oil in the intercooler piping even though the turbo has been freshly rebuilt by Steve Murch - Although I dont think it is the turbo as it would then always blow smoke especially under load. Now the engine builder thinks that the culprit is the valve guides and said he will pull the heads off and replace them if needed if I pull the motor. Just after some more opinions for things to check before I go through the hassle of pulling the motor. Cheers, Scoob
  13. I did this in my v4 coupe. Worked a treat and just got it certed when I did everything else. You have to sign a form saying that they advise you not to but allgood.
  14. Agreed on that. My vf30 is exactly the same. For gods sake don't do what I did and get a vf. Go straight to a big turbo. Im bored already
  15. jump on the warranty and get them to muck around diagnosing it/fixing it!
  16. Broke almost every clip trying to get it off. Whoops haha

  18. Actually contacted the seller with the decapped yellows and they put them straight back into the post for me. So injectors and adaptors are on the way. What a muck around on my part! At least they were understanding about it. Thanks anyway jkwrx555
  19. Injectors have gone back to the seller. Turned into such a god damn mission and they said they would take them back so I jumped on it. Think I have a top feed setup lined up too
