  1. yip my first v7 sti would surge when under 1/4 tank after i put a dw200 fuel pump in. I used the fuel filter that dw supplied.... removed that and replaced with the factory one and the issue dissapered. are you using the factory pump? what condition is the filter in? the dw one i had was very sloppy where in joined to the pump, i am assuming when i cornered hard the fuel would be held in the sock but the pressure would suck air through the connection... hence surge
  2. i guess my 1992 bluebird doesnt count... so mines a 1998 v4 wrx GF8, damn it went well. Held its own against my mates factory evo 4.... been stuck with Subaru ever since
  3. Jason helped me swap out my tuned length headers for some early bc5 RS headers yesterday and a quick retune. iv gone from one end of the spectrum to the other.... haha cool change! has moved the power band lower in the revs, less pull up top possibly. hitting 1.5bar around 3.6-3.8 on both headers so the changes on my factory engine setup is not really prominent. ill run these for a while see if i like them.... then sell my tuned ones to fund finishing my defi gauges before i move away the collectors are equal length in theory. look really cool compared to the normal Subaru header
  4. im 22, v7 wrx sti. NAC were the only ones who would insure me (car is registered under my father, im the nominated main driver), 1400 a year and i have a 2k excess... dads excess is 800 coz hes a old bastered. pretty rough, but i have no other choice until i finish uni then hopefully MAS insure me, although they are up S*** creek atm....F*#K
  5. Jason at SAS in chch if your done these end of the country!
  6. mena and me, should have a duo section
  7. yea, i did. thats bloody rats. when i get round to getting a gps i might look at other options.
  8. Got Richard Baddock to re-fabricate my cat-back exhaust and install a pacemaker resonator ( the center pipe is virtually a sard exhaust section minus the resonator). amazing job, looks a lot tidier, tucked up better and sounds amazing. Also did a fresh oil change... mmmm
  9. I would second the AVS option. the top model has waterproof/ish remotes, and inbuilt turbo timer that can be killed via the remote + other cool gizmos. Plus they offer a hella expensive GPS tracking upgrade... haha as far as an installer in your area, i have no idea
  10. got my car back from richard, shocks serviced, cracked breathers replaced, avcs checked. its like a new car... almost. time to get my new defi gauges installed
  11. my bad, didnt see the rules for photos... hah richard baddock will let me use the photo with his borrowed car im sure. unsure on the others, but i can track them down and ask
  12. Not me or my cars, but so nice rally action from the Ashley Forest Rallysprint this weekend Richard baddock in borrowed pcasht
  13. Oil temp and water temp to add to my collection of Defi gauges. Just need senders for these two and ill have 4 all up. add a triple gauge pod for the clock position and ill be lit up like a Christmas tree. Also has anyone had experience with Ebay senders and looms? work allgood? or dodgey...
  14. The dots above the forum avatar on the left...
  15. curious to know.... what governs your "rank"...
  16. 10wkw thats a bit just for a FMIC. surely the later sti inter coolers are just as efficient? just not after sitting at the lights? IMO if ya going to go fmic... and upgrade turbo etc... why not get the best you can? one of those Chinese ones might just cause you more issues than good. Do it once do it right? but i understand that theres a huge price difference
  17. fair call. IMO i wouldn't go to VTNZ... i would get someone with a trained eye on modified performance cars to look at it. I see your in Auckland so im sure someone like PBMS offers a pre-purchase service.
  18. would be a sick looking cars if the homie chromies were scrapped. If you get serious i would book it in for a full pre-purchase check at you local tuning company. might set you back say 100-150 but they will check absolutely everything, with a non-biased look. I personally would be very careful buying a car with so many mods/power etc... its more the fact of proof of installation by a professional, not just the purchase of the parts.
  19. ****s and gigs through the tunnel. i run it plumbed 99% of the time. i cant hit or run 21psi with it external,
  20. i made a new youtube channel... https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCB7M4jfh_yYTdFcrXn_p_0w
  21. dammmmnnnn! I think i like boost toooo much, i got from chch to nelson with about $80 gas... so lets say thats 36.6L (chch prices suck dick) of fuel over 430km = 11.7L/100km godam it.
