  1. Ahh right! I am looking at the Race tech RT1000 seats as they are bang for buck but still FIA and comfy for road trips if wanted. They do have a mount for the standard seat belt however I am unsure if they will bolt straight to the standard rails with the side mounts or not. Might have to make a small bracket.
  2. I thought they had the plug underneath the seat that if you unplug it throws the light on the dash? if they don't then that is amazing and I am a noob ha ha
  3. Anyone fitted fixed seats into a V7/8/9 ? any issues you have faced? how do you get around the airbag.
  4. But then I'll have to upgrade my wheelchair cause I won't fit that either hahaha it's a catch 22 but I'll decide whether the pies or seats are best by the end of this discussion
  5. Hi all, I am looking to buy a set of fixed back bucket seats before i hit the track. I am a bit to small to fill out the STI seats. Does anyone know what happens with the airbag sensor? I know if I unplug it it'll throw the light on the dash. Is there anyway to get past this ? TIA
  6. Alright, I will come on Saturday and flag the Sunday be better to get to know everyone rather than potentially breaking the car ha ha
  7. awesome! can I buy a kit anywhere or do you have to grab them when they pop up on trademe etc.
  8. I think it really just depends on the weather, if its raining or not sunny there is no way i am driving 1 and a half hours to stand in mud and watch burnouts hahaha.
  9. This is what I got also. I feel if the worst was to happen in event of fire and your to be unconscious until the Marshalls get to the car I'm going to buy something that will potentially save your life. It's a small price to pay for a massive return if this was to be needed. Plus wearing it a couple of times a year hang it up it's not something you will need to replace often unless the rules enforce it.
  10. The safety rule changes are coming into effect shortly, I have just gotten one of the double layer suits with boots combo's from racetech. Asked for a discount and they knocked 10% off also.
  11. I will race if mine survives superlap haha what is the time frame we have to enter by?
  12. As mentioned the boost has held really well, mine is on stock solenoid and drops off to about 16-17 psi up top but made a bit more power. Fingers crossed there is nothing majorly wrong though At least you can drive it now not worrying and know its only $150.00 for touch up tune once you get any teething issues fixed.
  13. I will be really keen to race on the Sunday? by may not attend the Saturday. When do we need to pay for the track day by?
  14. Hey all, What's everyone's thoughts on this? I am not able to make Hardpark its self unfortunately in at the start however I am going to cruise over to Marsterton afterwards. Is anyone else keen to head over the hill, if so would you be interested to meet before hand and convoy over. I am not liking the idea of 800+ cars heading over the Rimatuka's as ego's are bound to kick in and I wouldn't want to be rear ended etc. I plan to meet with a couple of people that have the same idea before the cruise and to shoot over the hill before the big pack and wait for them on the other side to avoid any incidents if they are to occur.
  15. Oh my god. I think my brain brain just snapped a rod haha. Thank you for explaining this, it is interesting that myself & @Subru have had a similar experience with the detonation up top. I am feeling relieved to know that there are ways to counter this though. When a tuner says something like that to you I automatically thought the worst ha ha.
  16. @Gripless When my motor was built Chris told me that my head must of been skimmed down a bit as the compression was higher. I am not that motor savey would you be able to elaborate on this please? He told me that once I get bigger injectors, turbo etc we can go for more power but it was effecting the stock setup to try and squeeze more out of it. Is this a bad thing to have? will it mean that even once I gain a larger turbo than the VF30 and supporting mods that my motor may not handle the power. TIA (sorry to hijack thread @Subru)
  17. Ahh that's all good man, even though it wasn't the numbers you are hoping atleast you have the piece of mind that Chris has got it to a point that is safe. When mine was tuned it had the same issue as well which is strange? He replaced my Cam angle sensor? by memory and it made it a lot better. at least the touch up tunes are like a quick $150 haha I have had a few
  18. I have my run in dyno sheet but just moved house unsure where others are @Subru
  19. I am keen to bring the bug eye along, I am racing at superlap in March at manfeild so all going well the car is alive after this I will be there ha ha.
  20. Just try not to worry to much about the top number it hits, I am a firm believer of area under the graph compared to a car that 350kw with a power band between 6.5k and 8k. Chris is amazing at what he does safe to say what ever number it makes it'll perform a lot smoother and better than it does now.
  21. 210kw 390nm - Keep us updated super keen to see this.
  22. Hey mate, I know you mentioned that you didn't want a ute but you can pick up a relatively tidy hilux 3.0l DT which is what we use for towing. however My mate uses a outlander for towing his car around, we have an outlander with no tow bar as a daily for the Mrs and its awesome to drive? Or stick with a falcon or commodore you cant kill them and they are not that bad on gas day to day if you don't have a heavy foot.
  23. Manfeild would be awesome for some track time? be a good location in the middle for people wanting to come from south and north. That a long with pizza..and beer....lots of pizza and beer ha ha.
  24. Hey Matt, I am not planning on being there all day either would be more keen to try park together for awhile and then leave before end of the day. Sitting in the sun with no shade for 5 hours is never fun ha ha. @Joker Thanks for offering the banner, I think it would be a cool setup with it but will see how many people we can get together first!
  25. Hey Welly Lads and ladettes, On the 4th of Feb in Lower Hutt they are having the event "Hard Park" again. This event is great to get out and meet other people in a strictly park up family style event. Every year they let you in early to park together if you have a club or crew. Would any of the Wellington based team (or anyone willing to travel) be interested in going in to park up for ClubSub?
