  1. Thanks Geoff and San. But yeah - I would of gone the Link way if the project wasn't done on a budget; read - $0. $1k for a G3 is a very good price but I do agree with San - if ya spending that much already, might as well get a G4 AND THEN theres the tune on top of that. It shall be a fun learning experience, hopefully this thing will be a bit of a beast once it's done. Although I'm a little gutted reflashing is so expensive.
  2. Hmmmm possibly. Pretty broke but I'll have a look around
  3. Hmmm probably not for me tbh. Either engine will be out of car or broke and can't afford the petrol. That said, if someone car hoe'd with me and hooked up some gas money - maybe something could be arranged.
  4. Yup VF30, will be a complete V7 stock conversion
  5. o_O I'll just take your word for it San hahaha. But yes - thanks in advance for helping - and Jase, sure! I'll have both O2's
  6. Yeah I'll prob do a write up. And yes, I think I'll get San to do it - seeming he's done something similar not long ago. Jason - no, no airbags or any interior stuff, literally just the engine to be all wired up etc. And yeah, may of been semi bad form but when I guess the sale of the motor lingers on it... Hmm. I'm sorry but yeah, sucks. I know you were thinking of running a link - this should be an easier option for wiring anyway.
  7. yeah VERY hard to come by... almost not worth it tbh
  8. Yep, all still well over $1k. I don't have that sort of cash atm as then theres the tune on top of it too.
  9. As per title I'm thinking about doing the above - and on a budget! I can get my hands on a V7 STi ECU and potentially the loom (lets just say I have it). What would be my cheapest option of getting this up and running? People say the wiring would be a nightmare and others say just fork out for a Link (or other standalone) - but of course thats friggin' expensive. Any suggestions? Cheers
  10. Most single locked garages go for $40 p/w on TardMe. I have a fav search setup - heres the link, in hope it helps http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/CategoryAttributeSearchResults.aspx?keyval=1225341&from=fav&sort_order=expiry_desc
  11. now THATS a good story to tell did you meet him? I didn't, but I broke his brick fence, and put a crack all along it. It's still there around the bays in Wgtn ! I did get to do community service, teaching kids how to play basketball at summer school. With a guy who put a cops head through a window. I volunteered to do it again the next year it was so much fun. They said no, as I couldn't actually play basketball. Haha he's a pretty odd guy ol PJ. And I think I know exactly where you hit it hahahahaha. CLASSIC.
  12. In a way, yes. But people don't have the time to be online all the time like us - so giving them a cut down version streamlined isn't so bad.

  14. Take it to Autostripes in Wellington, the guy did my Hella lights and is the only Roof rack specialist I know of. He did my stuff on the day so I don't think he's too busy most of the time http://maps.google.co.nz/maps/place?cid=239979124064726583&q=Autostripes&dtab=0&sll=-41.296228,174.775821&sspn=0.001552,0.004128&ie=UTF8&ll=-41.295452,174.773756&spn=0,0&z=19 ^Google maps and contact information there.

  17. I'm sure Jared will still have a lot to do in the background just not in an official position. Kinda don't have a choice to not give up your seat if you didn't get the votes...
