  1. 4 parcels were sent by Amazon, 2 never arrived because these muppets made mistakes like forgetting to attach an invoice for customs ... I had enough with the way they handle things so I'm having a parcel forwarding company (myGermany) taking care of it. The last 2 shocks arrived at myGermany's warehouse, they are currently repackaging the 2 shocks into one smaller package and they'll send it just after. I'm hoping to receive those in 1 or 2 weeks ... finally ...
  2. That's a good price, about the same as my non-adjustable Sachs. I would recommend changing the 4 corners at the same time if you can though.
  3. Grabbed some Whiteline goodness at a good price
  4. Ahah, it's so funny to read this, I did the complete opposite. I had a few turbo cars before changing my mind about it and getting a GT86 : first reason is it's RWD and second beeing its NA. NA = no lag, higher revs and better fuel efficiency on track, I guess that we just have a different definition of driving pleasure then Regarding fuel efficiency, I think you would get better mileage with a turbo in traffic, but I'd keep my the 3.0R hands down if I were you. Keep in mind that you won't get as much torque in low revs, which is enjoyable in start-stop conditions , with a turbo. Up to you !
  5. Looks like nothing is stock but less than 7min on the nurburgring is still insane ! Gosh I miss that track
  6. @A_J_T Are you after look or performance ? If you're after the look Brembos look badass, go for them. If you're after performance, you might want to reconsider : Full test here : http://www.stoptech.com/media-center/blog/the-braking-zone/2015/02/10/autobild-magazine-picks-stoptech-as-best-bbk-in-comparison-test
  7. Cool, might be a little too low for some gravel roads but it looks cool
  8. I didn't know an Outback / Legacy could look nice ! I like the sleeper / sporty / nice-looking compromise you got here
  9. I'm keen if the weather's nice
  10. If there's a BBQ I'm in ! Actually even if there isn't, still interested by the idea of an information gathering day. I read somewhere that the rear lower brace can be annoying to install as you may have to support the diff. Keen to see how easy or difficult it is to DIY.
  11. Next time I change my brake pads I'll probably get a set of NS400 from Project mu : http://www.project-mu.com.au/en/products/pad_ns.php If you don't mind some squeaking noises, you can also get the HC800 which are more track-oriented : http://www.project-mu.com.au/en/products/pad_hcplus.php These pads are really good and cheap if you compare them to other pads with similar quality/performance EDIT : NS400 offer you better stopping ability, fade resistance, no or very little noise and work fine when it's cold. That's a lot of bang for the buck
  12. Sweet, interested by your feedback once it's mounted as I'm looking at the same parts
  13. Congrats for the purchase, looks like the exterior is in really good condition. Mine has scratches, dents on the wheels (cos' drift on gravel roads ) and loosing some clear coat on the roof. But, I didn't buy my Outback for the look anyway so I don't really care
  14. Yep, posted an update in my Garage Thread if you're interested about the details of my plan Didn't really look into that yet. Was thinking about buying used legacy springs, would it be really bad ? Or just enough to get some great downforce thanks to the front of the car being lower ?
  15. The plan is to improve handling by changing my current shocks which are completely ruined (I think I can't go wrong with a simple plan like that ) And I can see that I need more camber by looking at my tyres, so it's a great side effect Nice pictures BTW
  16. The timing of this discussion is just perfect ! I have the outback but haven't lowered it yet This project was in standby for a long time, and I finally have some free time to take care of that. I was planning to find BP bumpstops at a wrecker, good to know that BE/BH ones are the same, it will make it easier. @ADIKT @JGM If I've read everything correctly, bumpstops, struts and springs is all I need to change if I want legacy height, right ?
  17. I saw the same post on the AA website, brought my coolant to the local repco, the guy said they don't take it and he had no clue as to where I could dispose it. Your experience could vary depending of the repco you go to though ?
  18. Yep, an oil temperature gauge or at least an OBD II to Bluetooth device is really useful if you track your car often
  19. In Parnell ? Might be a ferrari owner that bought it as a "I don't care daily" ? 10 grand is so cheap when you live in Parnell and drive supercars lol
  20. That's why Subtech took the coolant, they're making good use of it
  21. Subtech offered me to bring it to them. Just dropped the coolant today
  22. Nah unfortunately it's not related. The mx5 should have a rotary out of the factory though, would be so cool
  23. Except for rotaries A mate has a 200+km mx5 that he uses as a track car, always reving it to the max, and the car runs really strong. I think it's all about the maintenance and the way you take care of your car in general. Among other things, never forget to warm up the engine before reving it, that's how a lot of people kill their engine. And it's not because the coolant is up to temperature that the oil is up to temperature, most of the time the oil is still around 60 or 70°C which is not enough.
