  1. Haha walked into that one. Just got off the phone to prosport and it\'s looking like endless pads are going to be close to $400 incl. GST for the fronts Znoelli\'s on the other hand closer to $100
  2. What are they like for price? Anyone had experiences with Hawk HP Plus or EBC Yellowstuff pads?
  3. In preparation for the Clubsub Ruapuna trackday I\'m going to need to throw some decent pads in Previously had Bendix Ultimates on my TS-R (with GTB brakes). I was really happy with their performance on the track but they aren\'t cheap at nearly $200 a front set. They change the colour of the wheels to "brake dust" after a single lap but I can put up with that for better braking. A few CHCH people are using Znoelli SP500\'s. They are reasonably priced but also marketed as more of a road pad so I\'m undecided Any others that I should look into?

    Disabling ABS

But threshold braking is way more fun on the track
  5. All sorted thanks guys. It\'s now boosting 16psi as it should. The issue - wrong sized boost pill
  6. Thanks for the offer lachlan but WRX 2.0 has already sorted me out, cheers mate the 15th it is, my mistake
  7. We think we have found the reason why my GT-B is only making 11psi instead of 16/17 Does anyone have a known working boost gauge lying around that I could borrow for a few hours tomorrow? Cheers

    Disabling ABS

I didn\'t know which relay under the hood was the ABS one so I just whipped the two ABS fuses out from the fuse box under the dash. One of them took out the power steering as well so put that back in and all sorted. lol

    Disabling ABS

No luck identifying any ABS fuses in the engine bay fuse box, but here is a diagram for the under dash one: Should removing F18 and F19 do the trick or is there more to it?

    Disabling ABS

Want to know how to disable the ABS for track use and for gymkhanas but google isn\'t giving me a straight up answer as to what fuse or fuses need to be pulled. Can anyone give me a heads up so I can go and do some J turns? Car is a 1997 Legacy GTB Cheers
  11. They were good cheers Jase, keen to see what they\'re like with some decent pads and a proper thrashing I\'m not used to braking with ABS though, might take the fuse out for the trackday haha
  12. yea all done, new 316mm rotors and callipers fitted, cheers rslegy you\'re a legend
  13. Long shot, but I need to put new front brakes on to race in the ruapuna autocross at 12pm, is anyone experienced around that would do it for me for a few $$? 0273159609
  14. That\'s awesome news. How did you identify the car after a colour change and new wheels etc?
  15. Cheers guys, actually went out shopping anyway and picked this up for under $500.. Alpine bluetooth headunit ($200) with a Rockford Fosgate 250w rms mono amp and 12" sub ($289 all up!)
  16. You\'re spot on, it\'s a 280AB, fits discretely under the seat I don\'t have a huge budget and given the price of single channel amps that might be the cheaper option? It will probably be powering a 10" sub, yet to decide on that as well
  17. Waiting to go into my new wagon is a set of Pioneer components (some fancy kevlar ones) and a 2 channel E audio amp that fits under the passenger seat. I\'m also going to run a sub in this one and the car is already wired up to run an amp in the boot. Should I buy a 4 channel amp to run under the seat, or just buy a mono channel amp (or a 2 channel to bridge) to run in the boot and keep my E Audio amp powering the components? Would it be an issue finding a 4 channel amp small enough to fit under a seat? I\'m also hunting for a headunit. I mainly use Spotify for playing music these days so all I really need is an AUX input but having the option to hook up the Ipod through a rear USB would be pretty ideal. Bluetooth could be cool but don\'t know how good the sound quality is and it would probably be a drain on my phone battery? What\'s the best-value-for-money $200 ish headunit? Cheers!
  18. I\'m after a wet and dry vac to give the carpets in my Legacy a good clean, previous owner left it in a bit of a state, does anyone have one I could borrow for an afternoon or know where I could hire one for a reasonable price? The industrial ones from Hirepool etc are quite pricey and probably a bit big for cleaning a car interior
  19. Does anyone know of a good powdercoater in CHCH who would be able to powdercoat an intake manifold?
  20. Definitely V3 for me, more aggressive looking than V1/V2 but they still have the raw rally car appeal and don\'t have a stupid shopping trolley wing. Pictures say a thousand words... \'nuf said
  21. Choice write up Keltik The only thing I\'d add from my experience in running motosoc trackdays at Ruapuna is, if someone is in your mirrors, throw your ego out the window and let them past! If I had a dollar for every time I\'ve seen someone in a high horsepower car holding up a que of cars around the infield, only to blow them off down the main straight and have them catch up again at the second corner, I\'d be a rich man Bit of a story about being modest: We had a guy at one of our days tell his passenger "watch out, I drive like Ken Block". He crashed into a light post in pit lane. On his way out to the indian file lap. His VR4 Legnum was almost a write off and he didn\'t even make it onto the track
  22. It is a mate of mine and it is currently in the works He needs to lower his expectations but it will be interesting to see the results. The kit came off a white TS-R sedan up North which apparently went quite well
  23. BEB, non turbo TS-R at 160kms, probably something to do with 7500rpm sliding around ruapuna
