  2. If their open (Rotorua), Infomotive I've found are the most helpful. I'd have a quick guess that most places will be closed today..
  3. Faarrk! And people talk about Rotovegas being theft capital and all!
  4. Loving the garages guys, not loving the breakinn though Engine hoist good for working on Subarus
  5. Good luck mate, also good on you for getting out of home at a young age! Great kahones!
  6. Cheers guys! My friend is replacing his soon by the sounds, so I'll pilfer his!
  7. It's just this part at the top which is poked, the rest of it is OK It's about 4cm long
  8. +1 I use the TT with mine on a 2 minute CD and you need to program is to not imobilise for a period of time afterwards. Just an extra thing to go wrong, AVS S5 ftw.
  9. Heres the photo after i've pulled the black tape off, found white tape lol! Then once I took this off the other two, sorry it's hard to get a nice clean pic, it's a canon SLR one with and without a flash. The wheel doesn't look too bad does it? Cheers for your help guys.
  10. I'll throw a picture up in the morning, but basically when i brought my car on the top of the steering wheel have a genorous wrapping of black electrical tape. Is this warrantable? Any suggestions on repairing this? Something a little tidier than the tape lol? Or do I just redo the tape? The reason why I'm asking is the tape started bubbling and looked even worse so I started peeling it off, now I have a sticky wheel! booo
  11. This. Was my point, sorry for the **** example of a retail store.

  15. Hey all, Looking at having a Garage built, for something abit different I was looking for ideas on what sort of Garage, I'm thinking double with a workshop. Pictures from sites such as Ideal, Skyline etc etc are so boring! I'd be keen to see some pictures of Garages that real people have Man garages? Pool table, whirlister Jukebox etc? : Show what you've got! Also discussion on how much garages are, etc would be invited too! To start had a quote from Ideal for a double garage workshop is $30,000... (unlined is $26,000). Seems pretty dare to me, I'll do some more research.
  16. Then he should provide a track and trace number? If he doesn't or refuses to pay back the money then he's not exactly a "reliable" person to deal with is he? I think that's what the OP is meaning. Imagine ordering something off your local Noel Leemings store, would they give the same treatment? He might not be a business or w/e but seems abit fail to me :-\
  17. Hey throwing this question here because it related to the install of my AVS S-5. Was installed a week ago, found that while the turbo timer was timing down I am unable to "arm" (lock whatever the doors), meaning I am killing it early or waiting the duration of the TT to arm the car. Went back yesterday, after consulting with a person from AVS they recommended it to, so they could change the wiring. On pickup I was told they had to change some wiring with the TT as well as the alarm to make it work. Now it will arm while the TT is timing down, but the timer is stopping after only 10-15 seconds (well short of the timing down). Any ideas? If I take it back again, they might be upset with me, this will be the 3rd time back after the install! *EDIT* Sucked it up and went back to the installer. They phoned AVS and found that it was a simple setting to make the alarm stop immobilising after 5 seconds effectively killing the TT. All is well.
  18. That wont be found a reasonable excuse even on a forum filled with Subaru nuts lol, I mean, whos here car doesn't rocket up to 80/100 like crazy hehe
  19. Just changed all our insurances over to "ASB" a.k.a "IAG" which owns State etc (as already stated). Payments went from $40 per fortnight to $20 per fortnight (V3 STi Wagon) and the excess was down to $300 from $1500 from State (after I have had AVS S-5 installed)... All the other insurances were cheaper too... go figure? Kinda larger place to find savings in your weekly/fortnightly savings the insurance, pays to shop around!
  20. Finally had my AVS S-5 Installed today, brought and paid for some gearshifter bushings so have some work to do this weekend!.
  21. Today my car got me flashed. Two lovely young ladies, then I nearly crashed. :
  22. Thought about taking my car out and getting some photos so i can post an introduction (*inb4 "post an intro noob" & "who the hell are you?") ordered my 5 Star AVS alarm off trademe, and booked the car in with the workshop to fit my new struts.

    Dash Lights

I'm very interested in this topic, i was looking at getting the calibre gauges (white face with blue lighting too)... I wonder if it would be easier to just replace the bulbs in the gauge itself to green, rather than cosmetics on the dash itself, but I just can't find any technical information on the gauges yet. Not rich enough to buy one just to pull apart and see either
