  1. 400 made, wonder how many lurk inside this club
  2. interesting, so can there still be plenty of meat and bite to the clutch but not be correctly disengaging? and what is a 'graunch' haha, audible or not?
  3. noooo, biltzen rims are the ugly duckling of the subaru family!
  4. i do when i think im feeling ruthless haha. But i've read that it actually increases wear on syncros, due to the fact that then they have to speed up and then slow down, opposed to just doing the one. but that must be only if u 'overshoot' the revs im guessing
  5. just the news i was hoping not to hear, but was expecting haha :'( should be sweet for agesss tho. I think? I've read about a few people whoose G box's have gone a lil crunk, but havent continued to worsen. Fingers crossed!
  6. it was strange, it seemed gold, which unless colour is different in gear oil i thought means clean? but then the magnetic plug had quite a bit of build up on it, nothing big, just that sudge substance. Thus it couldnt of been done recently? Do worn synchros mean a full G box rebuild basically? thats alot of $$$ aye So will it just keep getting worse till the crunches are audible/ box dies a slow painful death haha?
  7. did gear oil (multitrax , what winger uses) a few months ago. Na, no mad man shifting here, ive read the box gets angry when you do.
  8. How worried should i be with feeling it crunch into gear (mainly 2nd/3rd), absolutely no noise, just does not 'slip' into those gears at all. does improve slightly when warm but still there, nasty feel :-\
  9. so $50 bucks for genuine belt -(wikibaru)? he said the repco belt he got was too small then too big, does repco etc sell the right size one? i was told there is no point spending that much on genuine belts
  10. hahah. extreme! hitting up the wheelies and epic nose dives haha
  11. normally between 80 and 90- road driving. max was nearly 95 in traffic.
  12. haha ok, Australians must just be moaners coz this is what came up on their fourms about it haha. "yea, to remove the parcel shelf is a bitch, have to take out the back rest, and to take out the back rest you have to take out the back seat too. and then you'll find ya rear windscreen stopping u from screwing anything in with a normal screw driver, so yea, definately need the right tools." "yep was definately a pain to do, as everyone has said, back seat needs to come out, pretty sure i had to partly remove/unclip the plastic on either side of the shelf by where the rear seatbelts enter to be able to get the shelf to come out." "yeh mate cunt of a job! I damaged my parcel shelf a little!"
  13. i've read that they are a pain to replace (taking back seats out to get to the tray etc ), which is fine, but before i go through all that hassle i just want to make sure, you cannot just pop off the speaker grills, and then drop in the new ones like every other car i've done? I gave it a try but they seemed to to want to pop off at all? Cheers
  14. why would you go to vtnz? i know your cars are probably not rugged as, but still why go to the most anal, expensive place haha?
  15. that sucks man! from your home? or on a road somewhere? what type of alarm was in it?
  16. that was brought up on the other fourm, but i dont think it is percentages. Getting fined for 33km/h in a 30 zone???
  17. are those fog light covers standard? i swear they look different slightly, that or removing the sti sticker off them must make a big difference, to my eye atleast haha
  18. its not an attitude of 'im going to travel at 105km/h because i can', the issue is vehicle speed is constantly varying due to obvious reasons. How can you possibly enjoy driving if you have to check your speedo every few seconds to make sure you havent gained a few measly kilometres per hour more. Hence why there are thresholds in place, we are not machines. If you are to call that driving irresponsibly, every single driver is an ' irresponsible driver' including yourself.
  19. driving at 55/105 is not driving 'like a tard'
  20. "As of queens birthday weekend i have it on Very good authority that it will be dropping, this means van's aswell. Thought i might share the news, cheers" off different forum. 105km on the motorway is now gana cost us apparently. dam po po
  21. i'd just say chasers are surprisingly great on gas. My mate has the definition of a lead foot, that thing lives near the red line, and yet he gets amazing kms of of it.
  22. ^ what year is yours? how do the 2.5L sti's compare with the older 2.0L sti's in this topic?
  23. i dont think mine (manual) is 50/50? Was flicking the tail out in albany just before, slides out like a dream under boost. it feels like a ~ 30/70 spilt, would be very surprised if it really is 50/50?
  24. just worked it out, i average 12.3L/100km
  25. use some of that existing clubsub footage of when they got on the news, saw it on youtube few months ago. Will have some nice snippets of who we are
