  1. doesnt have an airbag on the steering wheel either i vote super-bitsa
  2. Agree with everything you're said, they are quite different cars underneath. The v8 sti hubs are the same as every other weak pre v9 sti subaru hub. Different bearing setup on the v9+ sti's, much more hardcore.
  3. nah im just talking sh1t now
  4. do you have a counter balance on the side of the car with the shorter shaft?
  5. If you read between the lines, you'll see two very relevant questions: 1. How do you have any experience with race pads if your car is slower than the average corolla? 2. How do know anything about brake pads if your car has drums?
  6. kinda looks it bit im not sure, havnt heard otherwise r180 have equal length wassups though. cant you just put the longer ds on the longer side?
  7. not mounted dead centre?! you sure it's a subaru? probably more like this where it bulges to one side. anyway i'm no use, r160 is foreign and ghey
  8. well it wont help your wheel bearings but you might be ok... just check if there's 15mm in there. worst case you might need to fold up the inner guard lip. Ive seen far wider wheels and tires on your car
  9. what happened to your old axles? I think only the old legacys had different length axles?
  10. what size tires are on your car now? what width and offset are the current wheels? you can work out how much further out the tire will come with that info. i think a et38 17x7.5 rim will be fine for tire-guard clearance. brembo clearance depends on the spoke design and possible lip depth
  11. Yeah gutted for you man Car has a black roof so should be pretty damn easy to spot if it's out in public
  12. yes you can buy adapters, but the ports are a different width apart. So even with adapters you're going to have to cut the manifold up.
  13. Optical

    Oil leak

the belt should be dry! yeah you have leaking cam seals, quite a PITA
  14. knuckle>bearing>hub>wheel you cant take the hub off the bearing without pressing on the bearing and wearing it prematurely once your brake disc is off you can drill the spot welds that old the dust cover on. easy enough job handbrake cable will detach once you take the assembly apart. easy job to get rid of all that stuff too
  15. ?! ive seen it before but didnt think it was easy... got any more info?
  16. well, yeah... what tools do you have? you'll want a die grinder or quality dremel, a cutting bur and a sanding/flapper wheel i still think you're wasting your time though. when does boost hit now? you want more top end without more lag i assume i dont want to be (too) cynical but you wont be getting the best out of anything with a vf10
  17. nah bro subaru and brembo 4 pot calipers run a different pad
  18. instead of bothering to port a vf10, spend the time mowing lawns, washing dishes or litigating at the high court. Use the pennies earned to buy a newer turbo. The results will be much more worth while
  19. what brand of bars are they? 21mm doesnt sound common. If it is a hollow bar it wont be as much of a difference as a solid bar
  20. get some cams from these guys and push 350hp!!
  21. yeah ultimates or ferodo ts2000's are what you want
  22. hahaha with a briscoes special it's prob not a bad way to get pre-shaped stainless steel
  23. if you already have the 5mt dccd gearbox, then you'll need: 4.444 ratio rear diff dccd ecu and wiring if you use an R180 4.444 diff, then you'll also need: r180 axles r180 hubs and knuckles r180 brakes
  24. i dont know why anyone would want to run their injectors at 100% anyway, that's just dumb
