  1. Nice one Dave might be a quicker ride home from Hooters next time around
  2. so when you said this: were you telling the truth?
  3. sounds like something wrong with your setup. Probably related to your drilled out boost tap and double wastegates a vf23 should hit 1 bar around 3300rpm even with a fmic
  4. minimum boost you should be able to run is set by the wastegate spring at ~7psi to get lower i would have thought you have an exhaust or intercooler leak
  5. I second that, they are crap. soft sidewalls meaning wobbly and delayed handling, and the treadblocks move around giving the unprogressive characteristics Loren mentioned. give it a miss
  6. Doogs was smarts Didnt Graham get cancer?
  7. Optical

    perspex hood

    she is, also talented.
  8. got a pic? i dont recall seeing that stuff in the boost of a gc8 before...? also with the coolant overflow removed you're asking for an air pocket to form and start overheating your motor. best to sort it out if you care
  9. amen, brother. unless you've been there you just simply dont understand. but full power to those who want to give it a go anyway
  10. ive measured the opposite, a 2.5 requires less boost to get the same amount of air/hp through the engine to make X power. Less boost means less charge temps
  11. plus if you've planed the heads or decked the block you can make up the lost height
  12. maybe it has something to do with the big bump on the apex as you came over the brow. even my subarus wheelspin at 200k's going over that. would really suck on a bike
  13. it's worth getting an extreme, it's the kind of investment you never regret. if you want it cheaper find a g2 or g3 plus and upgrade it
  14. it's up high under the dash above where your right knee would be.. if you turn the key you should hear it click from up under there. if not, perhaps try swapping it with the aircon relay to test (air con relay by driver strut tower and same type of relay)
  15. I know about abs and dccd.. if you just install dccd in a non-dccd car with abs there will be issues. You have to install a smart dccd unit that will work harmoniously. Basically the abs doesnt like it when it cant brake the wheels how it wants to as the dccd keeps driving them forward. Edit:yeah - what Qwerty just said. personally i think you can brake harder using the dccd lock than abs will ever give you.
  16. why would the abs have anything to do with launching?
  17. pm me to discuss as there are a few options You dont have to worry about abs. They can work together fine
  18. you cant run the dccd directly from the Link ecu, it doesnt supply enough current. I have designed and built a custom unit that can let you use the Link to custom map the diff lockup like a dccd auto mode. Big improvement in handling
  19. yeah sounds like the reg in the alternator is toast. Pretty common for BD/BG chassis cars, probably all subarus
