  1. Is that better for you OBD? Oh how I would hate to look like a tool on the internet.
  2. You should still come say hi some time,
  3. I worked for NZI/IAG/Lantern/Drive Right/NAC/State ect (all under the IAG Brand), my ex girlfriend worked their too, her R33GTR cost $7.50 a month ($89.01 a year + 300XS) 22yr old Full licence. Because im moving into the brokerage side of things, might be able to hook you up with cheap insurance, possibly. Il keep yas informed (For the chch folk)
  4. Probably not, my guess is that the plates and VINS are long gone, but hopefully the owners will get them back, most likely the insurance companies will receive them as they would have paid out the original owners, providing of couse they had TPFT/Full cover on their cars, which is stuped not too on such high risk vehicles.
  5. www.aerotech.co.nz You can search by chassis code (BC, BF ect)
  6. I see, cheers. Fountain of knowledge you guys are I assumed my gbox would handle it because I was told the VZ Type R had all the turbo parts minus the turbo. (The turbo body kit, brakes, block ect)
  7. I searched, couldn't find anything to answer my question. Here is my story so far.... I currently have a non turbo VZ type R 1991 Legacy. This is FWD Manual. I found a AUTO GT Legacy (4WD). How hard would it be to either: A: Move my manual gearbox + other shizz to the GT Legacy B: Transplant the engine to the FWD Manual? I know nothing about moving a Manual FWD Gearbox to a 4WD car, is it even possible? I would prefer option A. VZ Type R is Facelift, GT Isn't GT: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=281639361
  8. My legacy's antenna broke, it made the wirring noise when I turned the car off, I disconnected it but I still get reception, however its not as great as it was.
  9. smacked the top of the dash board to make the light behind my fuel gauge light up. (Last night) Very productive.
  10. mate had his wrx stolen, found it out in the bush, asked police if they wanted to finger print it before the tow truck go and pick it up, police response: nah they couldn't be bothered, looks like car crime just goes in the too hard basket. Because there down every fucking sidestreet in Christchurch. From town to my mates house, there was a squad car on every corner of every side street, sipping their coffees......
  11. I'm still learning the ropes when it comes to subaru mods, but we all stated somewhere Which translates to: I would rather not buy a stock standard job, if you get what I mean?
  12. That thing is the sex. Well worth it. Yeah I noticed the huge drop in prices, so I figured now would be prime buying time.
  13. Alright, I landed a new insurance job, which starts in 2 weeks, which obviously means new car time. Currently got a BC4, however, if I had 4-6k to spend, what would you recommend in the way of Legacy/Wrx/Forester? Has to be manual, turbo isn't needed but preferred (Seeing I get cheaper insurance now anyway, so a 19yr on his restricted can insure these things) Pro's and Con's people I prefer sedans, however there is just something about a sacked Forester that's appealing... (No poll option :-\ ) Opinions away!!
  14. Cheers for the heads up. Its not hard to find people these days with the interwebs.
  15. Insane, I didn't think it could make it.
  16. Um what? Never knew that could actually happen?
  17. So when I plug in my black connectors under the steering wheel, I get 4 long flashes and 2 short flashes, meaning Idle switch or circuit problem. Thing is, what is that exactly? Sure, my car idles irregularly as sometimes it sits at 500, other times it sits at 1500, but i thought this was due to faulty AFM? Thing is, what is the idle switch or circuit?
