  1. I used to do that in my old Leone lol. One guy I new did that for a fuerl eccommany run. he switched the iginattion back on and boom went the muffler. It was blown to pieces lol ;D
  2. Oh yup you have a Brumby. If it had been a latter shape leone/omega shape you can directly bolt either front or rear legacy hubs on... with a little moddifcation. But I cant remember weather it was front or rear? The other side is the problem and is alot completcated to convert.. thats were alots of guys tend to go CB kit. But im not sure if you can do what I talked about above to a brumby?
  3. XT6 hubs are as rear as hens teeth infact some guys in the states would pay almost as much as it would cost for to get the cross breed converson kit. XT6 disks are 800 dollars a disk for the front Thats why mine still isnt road legal. So thinking the cross breed kit would be a much better option and you would be alble to get cheaper after market disks and use twin pot or even 4 pot front disks if your project was to eventually go with a wrx converson or more power etc if you were thinking of going that way
  4. A community group I belong to had car insurance on a car they own and the insurance pretty much jumpped up 300 bucks from last year. so its 600 and something this year
  5. I was just going to put that linky up from TM lol. Another thing you could do if convert to legacy type brakes/ disks etc... easyest thing to do is get cross breed converson hubs kit from OZ. Also alows you to convert to hand brake in the rear.
  6. As far as I know no 1 has done it before here in NZ. Would need to be certed since they never came with a manual for factory. The whole loom needs to be moved since the loom comes through right where the clutch master cylinder would have to go. Ive got a pic somewhere showing what I mean. Need a few custom parts made up too. If wanting to get RWD best to use a RWD gearbox. Will need to replace the rear wheel bearings since they are a weak link in a SVX Also if the SVX was to be driven at higer Revs it could run into cooling probs. There are guys working on a soulution but it is still to be checked and more mods made and tested. Basicly is it was left auto it shouldnt run into any over heating problems.
  7. The WRX that used to drift used a S15 or something rear subframe and subspension etc. Apprantly had to have loads of custom work to make it work.
  8. Just by intrest a little while ago didnt the govt said they wanted us to move us inline with the Minimum pay rates that Oz have. That would be $14.31 per hour. Mind you I also remember way before national got in they wanted to remove Minimum pay rate and have the company pay what you they think you were worth.
  9. AA has agreed value on payout. I went to the AA and sorted out insurance on my Legacy. Only has 3rd party at the moment. For me to get it fully insured for only 3k I would have to get a $400 dollar alarm fitted and then I would have a excess of 1100. If I went and got full cover with No alarm fitted I would have to pay 1500 excess. dammed if you do dammed if you dont : Ive found out Vero is only does market value
  10. subaru 6 cylinder engines seem to be pretty realible. Ive never blown a motor in a SVX or Alcyone 2.7. Go old skool subaru almost impossible to kill
  11. Thanks for the offer dude. But I,ll luckly was able to score one from Stu of Stubaru I found out it was missing a little yellow washer on the end.
  12. I was going to try that but I couldnt get the bloody thing off with out braking it
  13. I did get another clip to try and use that was diffent but simliar. I fitted it and the clip. It worked when you used it one way but when you went to lock it it would pull out. That was why I wondered if there should be another yellow peice go behind the metal peice to keep it locked in place.
  14. Is there any more to the yellow clip? my one has been damaged and missing a peice of it. It looks like there is supost to be another yellow bit on the other side?
  15. Broken Clip for door lock. Does any one have a pic of a fully complete unbroken one? Its for a 1990 legacy wagon. Its the RHS drivers door. I need to replace it and cant seem to get one from Subaru. couldnt even see a clear drawing of the part of the parts detail on the computer. Tryed a few other places and havnt been able to find any yet. I think the white clip has nothing to do with??? This is what I can see from the other side
  16. You can get a PWR raditor. Cant remember how much it be. You will most likely have to get a custom one made. Ive found alot of places dont have any listings for SVX raditors due to they are a one off model and that the raditor will not fit anything else.
  17. Thanks dude. Man thats such an awesum doco
  18. If you had insurance and they paid out the insurance company would want all that money back and they would stuck on his ass till he paid of every cent. And he wouldnt have been able to get away with not paying
  19. Different coloured belts, one belt longer than the other lol. Had that on some prevous cars I had brought.
  20. I wished Group B was still around now. Sad it got banned
  21. Maybe.. I have to look at all my keys
  22. Sweet lol. That must be why my legacy feels like it has so much power for a 1800 lol. I must go down to repco or supercheap and pic one up
  23. Just wondering does the airfilter supose to be in this box part. Where the clips are? Mines missing it if thats the case. Tryed some filters that came out of different subarus but they are too big to fit in there. Thanks
