  1. That would probably be Wayne Martin. He is just off Moorhouse Ave on Waller Terrace
  2. Who did you use and what did it cost and was he all good to deal with? I went to see Wayne Martin yesterday about getting the rally car certed and he seemed pretty good, quoted $420 which should hopefully cover evertything including coilovers, brakes, engine swap, race seats etc. Don Hoff is possibly a bit cheaper but I heard he can be pretty anal about some things.
  3. Get Thule or Prorack, dont go for the cheapies from repco, You should be able to find the model number of the type of clamps and bars you need on the thule site, then try to find some on trademe. I got my cross bars and clamps off trademe and got my ski holder from hyper. Cost about $500-$550 all up i think. Edit: You are probably lucky not having rails like my car, it was f**king hard to find the right clamps for mine off trademe, took a month or two. There seemed to be lots for cars without rails.
  4. My car in ski spec in front of Lake Pukaki. Sorry about the crappy photos, only had my phone
  5. I know but it's just a matter of taking more stuff off to get the the manifold. Just need to keep track of all the hoses
  6. I changed the manifold gaskets on my 250t. I'll give you a hand if you want Hamish.
  7. I was pulling my interior to bits today to install my amp power cable and it looks like the fuel lines go up the firewall behind the A/C blower assembly before they go through the firewall so I guess it's possible those lines are leaking a bit and fuel vapour is getting into the blower somehow but It seems very unlikely given that they are steel lines
  8. Started installing my new sounds then decided it was gonna take to long so put it all back together and am gonna leave it till after my uni work settles down a bit.
  9. Mine is a 2003 s-edition which comes with 4-pots and BBS wheels. This could be what you are referring to.
  10. You on your way down to Christchurch?
  11. poddys also generally make a heap more noise than the standard airbox. It's like a big bore for the intake
  12. The automatic transmission in my bosses bighorn died. The bighorns are a fair bit cheaper than surfs though.
  13. Are you after diesel or petrol? Mum has a 3L TD and it goes pretty well with no engine problems that I know of after 240000 ks. The non turbo ones are pretty gutless.
  14. My old boss has the door off that porsche hanging on the wall of his workshop. He was just in the right place at the right time.
  15. First Legacy No good pics of my new car yet.
  16. Nice, I like the front spoiler on that version.

Forbes, when are you gonna come for a spin in it?
  19. I found a pretty good description of how the cooling system works. It seems a pretty weird design! http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/interesting-read-subaru-cooling-systems-120477.html?s=426840e133d8f167da1573c770231767&
  20. Thanks for the help, i'll give that a go nzkaosnz
  21. I might look into doing an engine swap, could actually be easier than doing the headgaskets. Can anybody recommend a good wrecker in christchurch?
  22. I'd rather not cause any trouble because the owner was extremely helpful when we were having trouble getting the torque converter seated properly. He came over and did it himself free of charge.
  23. Beckenham Autos did it in august last year, it's been so long because I ended up having to get the transmission done after that and then I went back up to auckland for the summer and left my car in christchurch. By the way, is it easy to redo the timing?
