  1. WRX - over the past two weekends I half Mother's 3 stepped the car with a Rockwell Polish/Buffer I got from Supercheap. I say half because I didn't have space to touch the passenger side, but I did claybar then use a Fireball nano coat type thing

Here is the 3 stepped side:

    Wait we give them s***?

Why did no one tell me :D

They can have the process west verticooler which is wick looking as the manifold is super low.

They still get the super stiff newer chassis which is way better than anything before them. Something Mitsubishi figured out a decade earlier and why evos have way more welds than the lancer.

I think most of the flack comes from the narrow body shaped compared to their STI counter parts.. Get some nice 18's to fill the guards, add a dash of low and you've got a great looking car IMO plus they're no slouch and probably the most economical WRX

Pretty popular here in Canada for the people who own JDM Legacies. Don't want to go that route just yet, as I just bought her. Going to keep her stock until at least 200k km and then see where we're at. Shes a beautiful car.

In that case, i'd just go for custom made axel back exhaust, slap in a centre muffler to keep noise down and you'll be golden. Probably be cheaper to get something made local as opposed to getting something shipped from NZ.

Have your replaced the hard rubber hoses that connect to the intercooler with silicone? Apparently that makes a nice wee difference for not a lot of $$

Right, next big ticket item (and it's an auto so don't worry about a manual car running away) is a remote start/keyless entry for my GT.

I searched on the forum but not much info except for OEM.

I found some brands....has anyone done something and can recommend a brand?

The guys in the states seem to talk about Compustar quite a bit

Are they legal? I didn't think they were

Such nice cars! I picked a BP5 spec B up as a daily and yeah had the same reaction, so much instant twinscroll torque. At normal speeds it feels so much faster than my 180wkw wrx. The thing handles well, tows stuff, cruises effortlessly, has heated seats, 10 speaker audio and gets ~9L/100km. Not much to complain about!

My friends factory BP5 felt faster than my tuned WRX too :( Must be that twinscroll, dual AVCS goodness

Do you guys ever hit that wall with a car and are just like "f*ck this" and just want to send it to a workshop for someone else to figure out and unf*ck?

I felt that way after I installed my "fancy" new speakers, only to find they sound like hollow crap and then for a few days later one side stopped working because a cable manged to pry loose. HOWEVER, I'm glad I got it done, some tuning with the headunit and they're alright.

  7. Partsouq order arrived.. turns out I orderd a coil for a LS400.. F*********K stupid me.

RE003's are back on which is great! Will be great to give them a whirl soon!

can't remember if I mentioned this.. but I scored some damper adjustable STi Pink struts, meant to be factory off the S203's. Google says they could be "Tuned by Arai" I'm hoping the struts on the softest settings are similar to the STI red struts for around town and then I can tighten them up for the spirited driving.

Bank account doesn't like me this month.. oops!
