  1. - Dropped car off to get my set of RE003's put back on

Recently bought a set of STI alloy arms so I can get the wider front track

    - Bought new ball joints

    - Bought new sway bar links to suit the longer sway bar

    - Bought another coil as I'm going to replace all 4, but they not $$

Just need to get new tie rods, possibly an Anti-Lift Kit and either a STI front sway bar or a whiteline one ( haven't decided)

So the wagon is still getting love aside from being driven hard-ish.

More details please :) sounds like what I'm after. I have an old pod filter connecting to maf then alloy intake and I think rubber hose connector. Was your cold air box aluminium? Did you use factory bov?

You're in luck! I still have a photo of my old engine bay:

Cometely deleted bov, blocked up all hoses and no sutututu. The internet says it's more likely to work on FMIC due to more piping and air in system, but I will try having a cold air intake complete with aluminum piping and maybe increasing the diameter of the other sides piping. All aluminum of course which supposedly reverberates better.

Factory airbox? That probably is silencing that compressor surge.. On my old WRX I had a cold airbox with a mushy, got me some sweet sweet stututut.

Subaru NZ didnt even know about my RA-R, let alone a levorg doing them race car things lolol

This also explains why STI japan took down the original RAR site about 6 months ago

    Needs more roof vent though!

I bet within the next few months ill have many internet battles with americans about the legitimacy of my one now hahahaha

I still cannot get over this..

Forgot to update, RA-R dropped off early may at 3pm in the afternoon, both the airbag and in inlet pipe were done by 12 pm the next day, no rattles. I was pretty happy tbh, they still had no idea what the car was though

Subaru themselves did not know what car it was??

Very good point here. Say If I did have this tune for 95 and was somewhere at had 98 fuel, say Dunedin, would it be fine to stick 98 in anyway? Since I like the engine cleaning properties 98 fuel has.

Don't quote me on this, but I've had my car re-tuned for 98 and my tuner said I could happily run 95 as the ECU still retained its knock correction, so I'd say it would be the same case for your car, it would just advance timing within it's limits.

If you could afford the trip to Chch, I'd highly highly recommend @SAS for your tuning. In fact, give them a message on Facebook and/or @gotasuby. They'll be more than happy to help.

  9. Given you're in Invers with no 98, I'd totally be saving up for the mods you want to do (e.g. exhaust) and then get the car re-flashed for 95.. You'll net more power, bit more economy and an ECU that is happily not retarding timing due to the lower quality petrol :)

Managed to get a really tidy v7 sti hatch. Only mods are equal headers and full exhaust with a fmic. Has Factory Ecu. I'm trying to find a balance between having a fun car but also keeping in mind I have a family now and She will be driving it too. I've read that the factory ecu's are tuned to Japanese fuel blah blah blah. I want to know the car is running the modification healthily as well. I don't see a point in investing 2.2k on a link and then another 1k on a tune if the factory ecu with a remap will suffice. I searched this forums and saw there are a few people who can do it with 1 or 2 people appraising them. I then googled for an official service and found tune technic offering the service from $1200.  Before I go ahead I wanted to get opinions. Thanks clubsub.

What's your location? Given the mods a ECU reflash will definitely help and I agree you don't need to invest in a Link.
