  1. Old news. I've had a Bride Brix II office chair that I made for years now.
  2. WR-Limited versions were to celebrate WRC championship winning years. Petter Solberg won with the version 8 WRC car. The version 7 WRC car had a horrible season.
  3. It's interesting to note that the S202 shares the same chassis code as the Type RA Spec C, which means that they just took an RA Spec C off the production line and bolted all the STi goodies onto it.
  4. No it doesn't. GDB = STi, vs GDA = non-STi Impreza sedan. I forget the nomenclature, but the "A/B/C/D/E/F" etc. revisions are noted later in the chassis code.
  5. NZ is too small a market for Subaru NZ to develop NZ only specials.
  6. Rarity also means you'll pay the bigger price, which means you're no longer shopping in V7 STi territory.
  7. RA Spec C is easily daily driveable / liveable. Ignore anyone who says otherwise, chances are that they've never owned one themselves.
  8. My vote goes for Mintex 1166. Racebrakes will bond it to your old backing plates if you send it to them. Had it on my last car, didn't squeal, massive braking and good feel.
  9. The front and rear ones aren't interchangeable. The front one typically goes around 100,000km and is the more expensive one to fix. The OEM one is made by Denso, and therefore you can shop around and order it rather than paying the $600 that Subaru NZ charge for a new one. I got mine shipped from www.rockauto.com for less than half that price.
  10. It's not just about grip. Steering feedback and turn-in characteristics all took a quantum leap forward when I put RE070s on my car, as well as grip and brakes.
  11. Easy provided you don't need to change the uppipe. Whole different kettle of fish then.
  12. RE070 definately has less grip in the wet, but so do all tires. They're not iceskates if that's what you mean. They still have as much grip in the wet as my old Bridgestone Playz PZ-1 did in the dry. $370 sounds about right for that sort of tire. You have to pay to play. There's no cheap shortcuts if you want rubber that matches up with your Spec C's potential. IMHO putting lesser rubber on a Spec C is a waste of time.
  13. I have RE070s. They're not runflats. They're only available in very limited sizes, I'm pretty certain that you can't get them in any sizes other than for the cars that they are OEM for (GDB STi, R35 GTR, NSX, some clubsport versions of the S2000). So pretty sure you can't get them in 18" for your rims. They grip and brake amazingly well, turn in and steering feel is fabulous. Wear isn't too bad, although I don't put a lot of mileage on. Downsides are that they're noisy, harsh and quite pricey. My opinion? I bought a second set, but only because the RE-11 wasn't released in time.
  14. Yeah, that's a bitch to do with an integrated up-pipe / headers combo. You need to undo the engine mounts and use a jack to raise the block, and have the car high enough off the ground that you can swing the headers around 180 degrees to make it fit. Had the same issue with mine. Fixed broken headlight today, turned out to be a dead relay in the custom wiring harness. Plug, play!
  15. TD04/05/06: Bigger number = bigger exhaust wheel/housing, more lag but more flow before you choke the turbo. 16g/18g/20g: Bigger number = bigger compressor wheel, more lag but more airflow = more power.
  16. I bought a 3 year warranty on my Peugeot back when I had it. Required me to have it serviced at all recommended intervals by a franchised dealer, which was Continental Cars Greenlane. Service costs weren't cheap at all! Still, milked it at every opportunity. It ended up costing them megabucks when they screwed my cambelt change up, and the belt skipped three teeth and destroyed the valvetrain. I think I ended up claiming more than the purchase cost of the car in warranty things! Of course, the lesson here isn't to buy a warranty, or to buy a warranty when you buy a Peugeot. The lesson is to never, ever, buy a Peugeot in the first place, and to stay clear of Continental Cars Greenlane!
  17. Biggest difference I noticed between my V5 and V7 STi was just how much more solid and rigid the GDB chassis was.
  18. Rage 3" is divorced, because I've got one. PITA how it doesn't mate up to any other catback other than Rage's own one. If it fouls the steering knuckle, just dent it in with a hammer a little bit. Works fine.
  19. Which headlights do you have? Projectors or reflectors? Projectors have the three lamps with the black housing, reflectors have only two lamps and are all mirrored on the inside.
  20. Mine's a pod behind the spotlight mounting holes, offset towards the outside of the vehicle so it's not in direct airflow or where water will fly straight onto it. I don't have spotlight covers.
  21. Is it legal to chase after people and shoot them?
