What part would this indicate is poked or does it explain itself? havnt been under car yet got a sore neck not sure if i can easily fix it or just get the mechanic to do it when i get a silencer welded into my exhaust

  7. awesome stuff thanks for that info and links i am definately going to look into getting a cable at least
  8. ive heard that you can get a plug that goes into the yellow connector under the steering wheel, which then connects to your laptop and you can see everything your engine is doing with a downloaded program. Does anyone know who sells the cable and roughly how much it is?
  9. ive never seen a car with a factory oil temp gauge, owned a few turbo sigmas with factory boost gauges tho
  10. I replaced my afm twice after changing to a pod filter. Threw code 23 once and the second time it didnt give out a code at all.but ran like a pig. After chucking a spare afm on it was sweet as. Have now gone back to standard air box setup feels alot more solid bolted in nice and snug
  11. get a 10mm allen key and possibly an M8.. bolt in your arsenal as well for pulling the clutch fork rod out to split engine and box. (had to make a special trip to mega when i was halfway through pulling mine)
  12. had a few hiccups along the way putting mine in with the biggest being a leaking oil pan from sitting the engine on the garage floor and working on it so i had 2 replace the sump make sure u use hexagon 6 sided sockets for tough bolts, turbo & flywheel bolts kill the 12 sided ones getting the engine and box back together can be a pain too just make sure u have the clutch lined up perfect and that the engine and box are lined up square
  13. banjo feed is the oil feed to the turbo. has a bolt that goes through it with a hole in it
  14. pretty sure it has a hose that joins onto a pipe right below it. its a real pain to get on.
  15. how come you do this? for button entry or something?
  16. u wont regret going back to a standard airbox. i just changed mine back cos it wrecked my afm... runs a treat now
  17. 92 bc5. Been sitting in the garage waiting for a new engine for 2 years. Going for wof tomorrow.. hopefully they can fit all the bad things on the one sheet haha
  18. wow i didn't even know they were different. ive just put an auto gt engine in my rs. your gt should be a series 2 (different bumper, taillights etc)
  19. sorry to hijack your post but does the noise sound like a can getting kicked along the pavement? I suddenly have a horrible noise coming from the powersteering/alternator area
  20. drives ok under throttle but is a real pig at idle, rev hunting etc. might have a play round with a few things and check all the vacuum lines 2nite. could a leaking exhaust cause this?
  21. thanks mate so i did have them round the right way. might be time 2 go to the mechanic and make sure the engine isnt a dud
  22. car is a 92 rs when i put my new engine in my car i had to swap my engine loom into it because the new one was cut. im not 100% sure if i have the coil wires around the right way on each side. Does anyone know which way the longer of the 2 wires on each side goes? (rear of car or front). The injector plugs had a white stripe on the front so i did the same with the coil ones, not sure if all cars have that stripe or tape or whatever it is though. My cars not idling very nicely and has no codes so i thought i would ask about that
  23. i used gorilla glue for mine which wasnt the best, it came out the sides when it dried so i ran some black silicon round the edges. I could have done a better job i guess but just wanted something covering the hole after my stock one flew off the car at 100km and smashed into 10 bits
  24. i ended up using thread locker, and had a read through a wrx manual and it said to torque it to 52 ft lbs so i did that, dont know where i got the idea it was 90 from
