  1. yup would have to say it not overly uncommon as the air that is being taken out of the sump from breathers are now instead of being recirculated and the oil being burnt is now being vented to air solutions are plumbback(my vote) an oil catch can (also a good idea) and finally a new engine to reduce blowby
  2. ITS ALLLLLIIIIIIIIIVVVVEEEEEEE
  3. You could not AFFORD me miss mmm now to find the 2g for a tig
  4. DRFVDR

    heat exchanger

That would work pretty well as a larger capacity will always be better, and then you could include a container to hold ice/dry ice for xtra cooling if needed
  5. those welds are very nice looks like I been there i should get my self a tig
  6. those bits are parts of the indents for the the selector rings they dont come out easily with out pulling the whole box to bits WOT DID YOU DO heehheheheh
  7. good info loren but u really need to explain more as if i was a noob i would be trying to find the said circlip on the outer cv not the INNER where it is.... to change the outer CV boot u need to first remove the inner CV. first remove the band/cable tie that holds the inner boot to the axle/cv remove said boot(slide it along the axle) remove said circlip holding inner CV outer to the inner clean hands(damn grease) clean grease of inner CV find circlip holding inner workings of CV to axle remove clip and inner workings(make sure u remember which way round it is or mark it) now slide the inner CV boot of axle remove outer CV boot by sliding along axle clean and replace grease in outer CV install new Boot and then put it all Back together HINTS use new grease in both inner and outer CV's should be a Moly based one BURP the CV boots before puttin the band/cabletie back on(i use a wee screwdriver and slid it under lip) and the final bit of info when putting the inner cv back on to diff the holes for the tension pin will only align one way chamfered hole in inner CV to chamfered hole in stub axle
  8. rack it snowboards in side a vehicle are a deadly weapon.... consider a newly edged board consider an emergency stop consider damage caused by the said board to the back of the head
  9. b and get them powdercoated white ?
  10. Yes most likely even though it not lowered(yet) and it not a WRX/RS/GT/STi it is a/Subaru b/Has an obnoxiously loud exhaust/BOV/Stereo but to be honest at 41 to be considered a BOY in any aspect is pretty damn cool
  11. remove the turbotimer not really nec unless u thrash then shut off(unlikely)
  12. the regs do say that if they are there then they should operate not sure how that will affect me whn i mount spotties on the roll bar on the brumby
  13. just as a thought where is the oil pressure gauge sender unit( I am quessing it is electrical) Just wondering if the pressure is not releasing back into block for some reason
  14. as I have not driven or even had a real look at any of the later cars I wont say much BUT have u considered the 3.0 over a turbo (legacy) just to throw it out there
  15. i have found the problem. the code i was getting was 33 (3 long and 3 short flashes) this code is the speed sensor. My Wrx had a new gearbox put in 2 owners ago and the bundy didn't put the spedo cable in lol, so when i do lots of boosting i think the ecu is getting confused as its hitting 15psi boost but does not no that its moving. my next question to you guys is how much is it going to cost me to get water pump done? as i think the coolant leek under the car is coming from the seal around the water pump. Water pump could be up around the $1000 mark... only because u should change, cambelts, idlers, tensioners, cam seals, front main crankseal and maybe oil pump oring.... While u are in there it still surprises me how many people only do a set of cambelts and dont even think of doing the waterpump while they in there,I do this as par for the course
  16. I always use thread locker on my flywheel bolts,if for nothing else so I dont have to worry about removing gearbox later on cuase one came loose..... I just do them farken tight
  17. did u look under your bed, thats where i find things when they go missing hehehheh
