also dont agree with the whole castrols crap thing. I've just recently switched to a redline from castrol but never had any major issues with it. And my car is also still running a standard sump, with the addition of the accusump. Car behaved like a bag o shit yesterday. Had a really bad miss under full load.(the same miss it had at hampton for superlap with very similar weather) havent quite pin-pointed it yet but its looking to be a temp thing. still survived the day but got really annoying as I wasn't able to string together a decent laptime at all. Was good to meet a few members and sorry to those that I didnt catch up with.

what times every1 coming past levin? I will co-incide my departure from here with you guys. will prob pass me in the yank tank with the blue wrx on the back. BP Levin is the last stop on the way up with 98 octane i think ( just a reminder). or avgas at mobil manfield (which is now banned on the track, but dont think it will be enforced on sunday).

interesting, but as madmike said, most trackies struggle to make race day let alone change whole fuel systems and tunes to suit e85. If a cars tuned on E85, is it able to be run on anything else? Say, because my cars still road legal can I still run 98 to drive it to and from exhaust/wheel alignment/my work etc to get work done? or will it be throwing way too much fuel in on e85? Just at the moment I put 96 in my car to drive it around (nicely- no boost) to get work done etc.

good point. Now that I think about it, avgas didnt get cheaper as it became more popular. Might just stick to 98 for now.

not sure. but theres bound to be some tools going round that require welding gloves to hold on to.

yea not long now before us superstocks are banned from running avgas.... I guess as demand for e85 increases the price may lower due to competing fuel companies etc.

seen a minsprint on fire in the pits at waikaraka a few years ago, looked funny watching it from where we were, looked like the crew were throwing powder etc at nothing.

the whiteline website mentions to change the swaybars with the wheels on the ground - my interpretation of this is to jack the vehicle up, sit the vehicle onto axle stands under the trailing arms or similar, to load the suspension evenly. This is how I change mine around.

plus a failed cof reflects poorly on there passenger service licence. Any marker/head/tail/fog/spot etc lights that are on the vehicle must go. doesnt stop you from removing the fog lights if you havent got a bulb.

I have a gc8 STi with abs and I'm currently stripping out all the un-needed wiring and i have come across a sensor below the handbrake with a 3 wire plug in it. Its not for the handbrake light, that is seperate. When I unplug it the abs light stays on the dash. Any insight as to what exactly I'm dealing with???? Thanks in advance

Yep, I have an extra 2 "back-up" wheels fitted with slicks in case I damage a wheel or tyre in a race. Those TE37s on Trademe belong to a mate of mine - VERY good price considering they are fully mint condition, but I dont need anymore wheels though! OHHHHH now your just being greedy!!! haha

get a 10 or 12mm nut and weld the bastard on. then you dont have a huge extension hanging out plus you crank the welder as hot as it will go (so long as its not a 500a 3 phase!!!) and weld the guts of the nut to it. and leave it on there, problem solved without too much hard work.
