  1. No, it can't. It just means that, at the time it's certified, it was deamed to be under 95db, if it wasn't, the certifier would not have signed off your car. You can get a car certified with an exhaust thats over 95, but it won't go on your cert plate... [quote name='tedebare said: Is it?? Mine was 98db at 3000rpm (I was told to rev it to that)....The inspector was completely fine with me putting in a bolt in silencer which quitened it down to 92db or so and passed me. BTW this is with a 2.5" siamese downpipe into 3" exhaust with one coby resonator. They are not supposed to allow these, they are required to be welded in by the law...although, going by the letter of the law, all exhausts that are fitted with bolts are now illegal under the new noise laws...that includesall bolted on factory systems too.
  2. Don't foresters share the same floor pan with impreza...
  3. Your just upset cause you got a sore BOX... ;D [quote name='newsuba said: It needs the nose from a Mk6 Golf GTI... Speaking of VW... New Golf R will kick STI's fatass back to s]Korea[/s] Japan. Yeah, well, i tried finding an Evo, and i did one with a 350Z, too hideous to post... Problem is, photoshop only goes so far, i need a pic of acar that is on a very similar angle to the original for it to work...
  4. Wooooo, spooky... Admit it, it actually looks better than the real one...
  5. Honestly, i reckon this is how cars are designed now... Would explain the new subaru range...
  6. I reckon it looks like a Honda accord like that...now, if i can just find a honda front pic...
  7. That was what i was trying to get across; i'f as a student, you can't afford to sell your wrx and buy an STI, i guarantee you can't afford to start throwing money into a WRX shaped hole... It's your choice, at the end of the day, but; many people on here have embarked on similar projects and, to ignore their experience in the matter would be foolish...
  8. Ok, but a TD05, or VF22, some good yellow injectors and an STI ECU ain't exactly cheap. And, even then, it's not up to STI spec. Then, there's the fitting, getting it to actually work properly... After you sell yours, it might take another $3-4000 to get the sti? Mods, and getting someone to do it, and getting it all working properly will probably set you back $1500-2000 $2000 more and it's a FULL STI... Just pointing out the options... Trust me, once you've shelled out money and realise how far it still has to go to be an STI, you'll wish you'd have saved and got one... Just my opinion...
  9. TBH, it'd probably be cheaper and easier (unless your a mechanic) to sell your WRX and buy an STI... That way, you not only get the 'STI upgrades' built in, you also get all the other stuff too... http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Cars/Subaru/STI/auction-263279459.htm http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Cars/Subaru/wrx/auction-261697370.htm http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Cars/Subaru/WRX/auction-264304196.htm http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Cars/Subaru/WRX/auction-262630618.htm
  10. Very nice, wish i had some of those portable soft boxes...
  11. Does that mean you've been to the supermarket, so no need for the shopping list anymore? ;D
  12. When i put the Buddyclub coilovers on the Spec c, they had a bracket, but the factory hose clips wouldn't attach. I just put the clips on and cabletied (securely) them to the brackets. Showed the certifier and he said, fine, no problem, so it's not a huge deal... Just remember, however you attach them, they can't be able to come loose...
  13. The day i brought the Spec c, i was driving it home and the alternator died. Sounds similar to what you said about the engine losing power...my dash lights came on too, all of the warning ones...new alternator and sweet...
  14. Won't you get a sore neck from watching that from the front seats?
  15. No, it's not, he's ported everything, even the turbo... ;D
  16. Some mods are all good, but (and it's just personal preference here) i'd stay away from anything with a monster (or for that matter, any) aftermarket tacho. Same goes for an external wastegate or aftermarket BOV... Stickers on it that contain any of these words: Chosen, Klan, DVS etc... There really is no reason for these except having too many pimples and wanting to attract 15 y/o girls...
  17. Looks like a racoon, and 316HP isn't much to write home about in that fat arse...
