  1. Found a site glass and a bung. It's possible to overfill it and then you get a fountain of compressor oil on the roof of the garage. Anyway, the compressor's working again. Just a large puddle of oil to clear up. : ;D
  2. 3-5yo. Well out of waranty. Haven't oiled it for a few years. Where do you oil it?
  3. My $100 supercheap air compressor wouldn't start up yesterday. Turned on the power and it just went 'hrrrrrrr' instead of 'hrr - chugger chugger'. Anyone got suggestions how to fix? Would it be a split phase start with an underspec'd starter capacitor that could be replaced? Or is it an underspec'd motor that's rooted? Or is it cheaper to get a new air compressor?
  4. Nah yeah it's all okay. There was too much smoke in the tyres and Webster let it out for me ;D
  5. Old Kumho Victor Racers. They are good, but they are old and temperamental.
  6. Webster is used to a much lighter car, so screwing up brake points isnt surprising really. He would also have not been used to how crappy these semi-slicks are, until they finally grip, which is a bit of a lottery.
  7. No. Just 2 very small tyre marks that will, surprisingly, buff out. Webster did a great job of turning back into the skid and hitting the tyres head on instead of side on.
  8. This is what happens when you loan someone else your car:
  9. Can we at least sit in the back?
  10. I could assist too, if necessary ;D
  11. What I need is 2 ground crews, 2 cars and a really fast Blackhawk helicopter
  12. Back in the day, this is how I unstuck my Fiat clutch. Jacked wheels off ground. Stabilised car. Put car into gear (can't remember which - try 1st). Gently rev engine - don't need much. Foot down on clutch. Jammed on brakes. Might sound rangi but it worked.
  13. So... you come on to the forum asking a lot of questions... but don't assimilate the answers... and you know everything... and you can't handle being challenged... how old are you?
  14. Shoot! I do that by hand : ;D One hand on the thumbwheel, other hand on the steering wheel, elbow set for understeer or oversteer
  15. Link worked. That autocross would be good for 250wkw Um now thinking about bringing the STI and my son - can I allow him to drive the STI unleashed. Tough question.
  16. Maybe I'll bring my 13yo son and the mighty Tomato with 58wkw into 835kg. That's 95whp/ton. Will give the Revenger a run for the money. Locked diff vs no-diff. Battle Time!
  17. Do a quarter mile on the dyno and save wear on the tyres.
  18. There's 2 relays on the driver's side. Pull 1 relay out at random and put back in. That will stop the asb pump. Take note of the relay. If it does it again. Take out same or other relay and work relay which is the dud. Replace one or both with bought one (~$80) or from wreckers.
  19. The guy told me you'd been in to check Didn't stop me buying your rotors. My need was greater than yours - until I saw the cracks in your rotors.
