  1. If your car has been graffiti\'d with the word \'#swaggerbomb\' in Nelson, contact me, I know who it is and will supply you with what you need to recover your costs/persue charges.
  2. A proper alarm install will stop anything short of a towtruck. Anyone who says otherwise is talking out their arses.
  3. Holy hell that\'s insane... Sounds like the most thorough stripping job ever... Yes, the tags can be replaced after communication with VTNZ and Subaru NZ (you have to justify why you need new tags). Someone\'s STi-RA got the same treatment a few years back, that got turned into a racecar.
  4. Most of the "5-Star" alarms straight out of the box are crap. Add to the fact they arent install very good and on the cheap. No-one wants to pay $400+ to do a proper install. Just another Insurance money making venture. GPS, lock in a alarm garage and chained to the floor still wont stop it being stolen. Its a Question of when, just like Death and Taxes. A 5-star alarm installed properly will stop anything short of a towtruck (or someone with a few uninterrupted hours and a full toolkit). The problem is not the alarms, it is the installers.
  5. So long as the wiring isn\'t fucked you\'d get about $500ish on trademe in that state (It\'s how I\'ve always bought them) But you\'d only get about $80 in scrap metal.
  6. Gone as in missing or gone as in buggered? Hopefully they haven\'t f*cked the wiring when removing it if it has been pulled...
  7. Holy fucking hell that was quick..... Hope you get it back, I\'ll have my eye out, I know every inch of that car and couldn\'t miss it if I tried.
  8. An EJ20E with appropriate exhaust and a black-label 7R (v3) ECU will be a lot of fun. The green-label (v4) ones are awful though. They're not an amazingly powerful engine but if you set the car up right it will still go fine You will never blow an EJ20E up without draining the oil or water. I can say that with certainty. They are non-interference
  9. Pressure select solenoid. It's the one between your MAP sensor and the manifold.
  10. ^ OR you could do it the legal way. Here's the LEGAL process for doing it. - Find yourself a LVV Certifier. Get the car Certed (This means goodbye screamer pipe, hell, any of the above mean that) - Go talk to VTNZ Sylvia Park about a vehicle recertification (Re-vin is a misnomer because you retain your current VIN) These guys are good, I took my BC5 through them a number of years ago and passed with an AA grade once I replaced a leaking shock and a leaky indicator - Once you pass, Pay the $270 (for 6 months) registration fee, this gives you your plates. Done, go back for a WOF in 6 months.
  11. Vague question. What do you want to put in your V2? You can use V1, 2 or 3 JDM (not NZ-new or otherwise) instrument clusters from any grade. Everything else is a different shape but it hasn't stopped people trying: V4 ones have been coerced into place but require replacement of speedo cable with 2-wire sensor. V5/6 ones have the same fitment as V4 but require a 3-wire sensor. V7-onwards you have no chance.
  12. That clutch spring is optional, I do not have it on any of my cars and you will have no problems by removing it.
  13. That bracket is not necessary. That pipe also doesn't look like a genuine ARC part either...
  14. I'd say it'd run about 20% too rich, give it a go. Easiest way to check would be to have someone run it on a wideband.
  15. Fronts will fit, rears will not. The rears are always a bit of a pain. You will also be left sitting a wee bit high as later models have a taller cabin.
