Problem is that I have a very soft thin sleeve of thread tightly wedged in an existing 1/8 BSP female thread of aluminium. I've tried backing it out with a tapered reverse thread bit, but there isn't enough thickness to grab and will just make a mess. Plan was to run a tap back through it to grind out the offender and preserve the host thread.
Drive along in third up a steep hill, and then floor it. If the revs rise but the speed doesn't, it's slipping. You'll also get a nice acrid clutch smell like burnt metal if you do it enough.
As I understand it, phase 1 yellows cannot be decapped (hence the conversion). But, it seems like I'm not going to bother with injectors at this point.
Yeah, had considered it, but changing to phase 2 yellows is a $150 adapter kit and $80 worth of injectors to get more like 700cc. I might put it off for now anyway.
