  1. Oh sweet ! That's exactly what I wanted to know. Can you point me in the direction of where the oil is supposed to be put in after ? Should I just splash it around randomly and hope some goes in ;D
  2. So after my recent expedition to Manfield, I've developed a mildly graunchy 3rd and 5th when changing gears under load. I find this odd as the gearbox was rebuilt less than 5,000km ago, but, I thought I'd have a go at changing the oil before trying anything else. Can someone point in the right direction of what bolts where to do this ? I've googled but can't find the exact location of them. It's a V5 STI RA w/ DCCD. Thanks !
  3. Well that's the first I've heard of not leaving it open. Seems to make sense, but I've always kept it open around Manfield as I have no fans, ventilation and I need to get some airflow going. maybe I need to think up and alternative before it flies off.
  4. Ha ha yes yes I know. Shall see what happens this weekend ! Edit: Sorry, 18psi I think. Ran out of puff after that.
  5. I had a guy near the airport repair my bumper ( fibreglass ) after someone tore it off in a great display of cliff driving. He was also known to one of my friends for doing a good job. All Bumper Repairs Ltd 04-939 2531 93A Tirangi Rd Kilbirnie Wellington
  6. Oooo just found a picture of my first Subaru. Except for the Leone I bought when I was 18 for $250. I wonder if anyone on clubsub has it. If so, you're very lucky, I spent loads on it keeping it mechanically fantastic.
  7. And it looks like it failed it's WOF today according to carjam. http://www.carjam.co.nz/car/?plate=FCA216
  8. Do you have a catch can in yours ? That would be sweet if I could come and have a look. I would have no idea where to put one. It does appear that this is indeed my problem, blow by thingie. So I read a great article that Stoffa sent through, and it mentioned that you should have two catch cans. Do any people have two catch cans ?
  9. Fix it like stop oil from going in the intake, or fix it like go past speed cameras at ridiculous speeds ;D
  10. Maybe if no one wants to visit, combine all the debts together under a single entity, if they know the address, and put it on www.nzblacklist.co.nz with the approach method as "hard", and see what happens . .
  11. I know ! I was quite disappointed. Put up an easy target . . .and nothing. Does my breather show on this pic ?
  12. Googles "what is a catch can" Seriously, if I was this inept in my professional life I'd be writing on this forum from the free computers at the local library before going back to sleep under newspaper in my cardboard box on Vivian Street.
  13. Sweet, will email. I wonder if I need a catch can thing aswell ???
  14. It looks like this But yeah, if I can see how you've done it that would be cool ! Don't think it'll stop oily stuff in the pipe though
  15. Really ? I need to look at it again, but I thought the pod screwed onto the pipe in a particular way.
  16. Heh, maybe the turbo timer I gave you is possessed
  17. Oh no no, I'm not. It was just left in there. I need to figure out how to seal the hole that is left by it, so it was easier just to leave it screwed in. But then I lent it to someone, and noticed the oily stuff.
  18. Ummm *cough* My breather ? How embarrassing, I don't even know what that is. I shall google to find out exactly what it is and then go have a look. I'm guessing the inlet pipe is the pipe that is attached to the filter.
  19. Ahhhhhh ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. A Link G4.
  20. So I took off my AFM to lend to someone, and noticed the AFM, and the intake pipey thing that goes to the air filter is coated in an oily substance. I do have a HKS pod type filter, as it is the only thing that fit's under the the intake shieldy thing. I haven't oiled the filter ever ( am I meant to ? ) but what damage if any could this oily substance do ? The car is fine, no problems, just not sure if this oily substance should be there.
