Has anyone modified their origonal heat shield to fit over a 3" downpipe that has any tips? Or know anywhere i can take it to be done?

can someone please post up what the heatshield looks like when its attatched plz and if possible how the 2 parts fit together

Looking for someone to give me a hand modifying and reattaching turbo heat shield as well as heat wrapping down pipe in Auckland.

My EJ207DW4CR was running 18psi standard. Have installed a Greddy Profspec B and I now run a Low boost @12psi and High @17psi. Although I do services every ~5000k (108k) car was un-modded before I got it.

if it was the overflow lid(right hand side (which is on properly)) it wouldnt explain how it got on the fan behind the radiator and on the powersteering bottle on the left hand side of the car beneath the air intake.

Yeah they did that when I went to Wingers but they could find no fault.

I had cleaned it off with hot water a few months ago and took it to Wingers the next day. Oddly with a clean bay they didn't see anything. Its defiantly returned since cleaning it.

Have noticed there being what looks like coolant spraying around the engine bay. Ive had it taken to Wingers Henderson where they ahve had a look but cant seem to find any reason. Does anyone have any ideas on what could be causing it?

HIJACK! I have recently had my exhaust done, TBE where they removed the heatshield. I'm not sure if it will go on again, haven't really taken a look. Think i should look at reattaching it, heat wrapping or finding some other solution?

I'm looking at picking up some F1 Asymmetrical's shortly so will let you know.

with extreme speeds like that id think itd be hard to hear it through a helmet. you MUST be talking about on a track right,

Yeah heres hoping, Also wanting it to reduce the amount of air coming in, have a nice airflow not hurricane force winds.

Im looking for a way to make the scoop open like only halfway so i can have it open while on the motorway without worrying about it getting torn off by the wind resistance. sort of like this not sure if its been modded or not opened completely or it comes like this. Was thinking I would have to replace the clip or something.

Pics so we know what to look out for?

just had a wheel bearing problem myself. had to get the entire hub replaced. warenty though otherwise around $700

More like this tbh (excuese the mad paint skills). Tave it coming out where the fog light holes are, behind the cover. Its closed from the back and bottom so shouldnt let any water/mud in but will put a cheap pod filter on the end to help reduce it.

I was looking into doing the same sort of thing as this: but running into the snorkus and leaving the rest of the intake standard except for the filter, probably a K&N filter.

maby try Edgell Automotive. mate has his evo worked on by them and was going to get his done, i was going to look into it tomorrow actually.

can confirm 3" turbo back exhaust is nice, defiantly not quiet. At a guess id say not warrant able but haven't gone for a new warrant yet. make sure you do something about your boosting when you get it done. have just installed a Greddy Profec-B which has made it alot nicer.
