If its not hitting anything i wouldn't worry about it too much, couple of mm clearance is fine.
  4. I have had a cracked top tank for ages... well since i took ownership - its the pipe out the back of top tank towards turbo....silicon has been my friend, I finally dug round in the shed and found another good condition top tank, The question I have is the inlet on the front bottom left (looking from front of car) that comes from theleft side of the radiator appears to be blocked, now is it blocked? or does it flow out the bottom of the top tank? as there appears to a drain hole in the underside, i have pressurised this with the hose to no avail( hense the blockedness).... should i just get a nail and dig it out? any thoughts?
  5. You can fill out a vehicle of intrest form from the copshop with vin and rego and police can stamp it saying they have no interest in this car,but i think police would (should) have removed the vin from computer so you have to get it complied as a new import, had a similar problem with my mates gsr lancer and it was cheaper to buy another 'on hold' body an trasfer everything into it. something to think about.
  6. aslo......RIng a wrecker....50 bucks should get you one!
  7. just about any suby fuel pump will work, unsure of your model, but have used older legacy pumps in WRX's and vice versa

  10. Did you get that bolt off...sorry i had to jit (didnt find a grinder tho!), back in Dunedin now, cars going mint....hope ya get it out and back in with no probs....
  11. just for headgaskets? or full factory rebiuld?
  12. Yep - lowered, mags, tints (but ripped off now) standard exhast tip (sick of being harrassed) front kit/mount and external w/gate, i dont drive like an idiot, been pulled over a few times...less now that i got rid of the tints. theyll be back on soon enough tho

  14. How much did it cost, my alarm only cost me $120 to install...no special features like armed and on timer tho
  15. Rather not pay the money for something i could possibly do myself
  16. i have the same prob....options anyone
  17. now I'm not an expert on this...... but once you take wheel off the only thing holding the hub there will be the brake caliper, one bolt will release it and you will be able to swing it out of the way, then there will b some 10mm bolts holding the dust cover on....that's from memory on other cars, your may vary. then reassemble in reverse order
  18. nah you shouldn't have to muck around with the bearings when to take hub off. (the bearing is usually pushed in with a hydraulic press they don't fall out)
  19. yeah was bored there for a while! had to stalk members thru msn lol
