  1. Get Good S*** that uses the same seatbelt mount point, and you're safe as houses. What they're saying is- If it uses all factory location bolts, they're a reputable brand (Recaro definitely is) and you need not modify seatbelt shite; You are fine to use Aftermarket rails without a Cert Edit: At the end of the day- what it comes down to- is do you feel safe to use it, because ultimately it's your life you put at risk.
  2. That's wrong to be fair, Because That is not the point at which it anchors. Seriously, some people need to understand the language our laws are written in
  3. Well, Got the under mani intake out- however like all factory ones, almost made it all the way out and broke at the very last hurdle. Bypassed the watercooling to the throttlebody A- Because it was in the way, B- because it was easy, C-Unnecessary in NZ Got the Grimmspeed 3mm phenolic spacers in, and have the Tomei intake mostly in- Just need to sort out aligning it properly. Then I'll tighten up the manifold and put all the stuff back where it is supposed to go. The cool thing about the GD Mani/ header tank design/hose routing VS the BH/V5- is the bottom pipe from the header tank doesn't go under the manifold- giving A- More space and B- allowing you to lift the manifold without having to remove fluid from the system. Whoop, found out I don't have work tomorrow so that's tomorrows job. Cheea!
  4. point, bounce back to life a little better dont they? It's been a while since I've used anything that isn't MLS lol
  5. yep, Multi layer Steel, It's more that you get a better seal from multiple thin sheets of steel against each other than a single peice of metal. Crushes better.
  6. 2 advantages mate, 1: Weight reduction. 2: Dort Dort noises. = +5kw
  7. Not that it needs pressure, that line is all gravity fed, though If I ever have my engine out or whatever, I'm gonna replace it with an AN fitting, and make it easier to fit turbo after that because not F***ing around trying to make it fit lol
  8. Thanks haha Here's the other way more photoshoppy looking one
  9. bloody cool eh, I have another one that looks more shopped, slightly sharper angle, still gets all the scoops too haha. Just a touch gutted we didn't think to line 'em up PFL GC8>FL GC8>GG, GDB v8 v9 v10 haha, we had em all there lol
  10. went to pull those pesky filters out of the avcs solenoids, it had either already been done or was completely feckin' invisible. Will have another look when the manifold is off, and it's easier to access.
  11. Nah, you don't need a cert for that. The thing that requires a cert is the modification of the anchor point, I.E. The point where it bolts to the floor.
  12. Just bought more parts, and left her dirty until tomorrow methinks... Also; watch this if you didn't get along to leadfoot; https://youtu.be/29EDStReFVU Hell, even if you did. Excuse my crappy video editing. So there's lots of wind noise and crossfade everywhere. Also my shocking commentary
  13. looks like the ABS sensor hole on the GC8 hubs, the ones without backing plates don't appear to have the same mount hole. They changed to a tone wheel style with v5 onward iirc If you measure the spline diameter, Then you'll have a better idea of compatibility.
  14. Yeah, only the early BG/BD's had wastegates on both turbos.
  15. First car I actually bought, 1999 V5 STi The legacy was sort of a "Hey this is 100% phucked, you have it"
  16. you know the USDM never had twin turbo, and don't think they received turbo legacies until the BP'X' either, those maps are gonna be way different wait, did you copy the defs over so it's manageable? ah. makes sense now.
  17. Looked at the weather forecast for the weekend, Saturday, Sunday in coromandel looking Pearler!! Headed up from Bulls- anyone know the last 98 stop before there?
  18. just a question- when was the last time the fuel filter was changed?
