    Well MintGTB IS coming around this afternoon/evening and we are going to take it up to Flagstaff. Everyone is free to come along too.

    I was doing some reading and the turbo model of this car WITHOUT the weight reduction was rated at a little over 100kw per tonne!! That's heaps good power to weight ratio!

    The weight reduction isn't 100% complete. I eventually want to remove the dash and the passenger's seat too.

    LOL, yeah that'll all come eventually. I'm going to be doing everything cheap as because it will be a shared car. So if you know anyone giving away free parts please let me know.

    Sweet, thanks guys. I just bought an old Starlet for us guys in Dunedin to use at motorsport events. It currently doesn't have a tacho and I'm going to completely gut the car (weight reduction) and stick in an aftermarket tacho after removing the dash.

    Is it possible to fit a tacho to a vehicle that originally didn't have one? And if so is it reasonably easy? Vehicle is a 1990 Toyota Starlet.

    I'm guessing the BZR will be a BZR (Subaru's new line of RWD sports cars) and the new WRX will have it's own shape, separate from the Impreza now that STi will be building the WRX from scratch.

    No, more like Mitsubishi dropping the "Lancer" from the Evolution line. It hopefully means that future STis and WRXs won't be an Impreza with bolt on go-fast bits, heck with any luck it won't even look like a garden variety Impreza even with all the bodykit off.

    If I'm to understand this correctly, future STis and WRXs won't be based on the Impreza model. "The "Impreza" name will be dropped for the derivatives, and they will get their own platforms when they are redesigned in 2013."
