  1. Ok so I've seen this car on Trademe. Advertised as an RA, not a Spec C. Doesn't have the little Spec C sticker. So can anyone tell what the definitive differences are? http://www.trademe.co.nz/a.aspx?id=214370357 And there's also this one http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=146455354
  2. Yeah they will work, but the amp will be doing some funny things in the power out put stage... don't be surpised if you blow either the speakers or the amp up.
  3. Yeah I reckon I wouldn't pay them a thing!! Except for the supply of the alarm, if you got it from them.
  4. From how long a distance did it go off? Could you see it when it started to go off?
  5. TURTLE might sell you his v5, if it's still for sale? Sedan though.. all those links are for wagons?
  6. I found out today that having no sway bar is a fail for a WOF. Buggar.
  7. Yeah if you go to a track day, it doesn't take long to change the setting of the sway bar between rounds
  8. As long as it's another 215/40/18 then you'll be fine. Don't know if T1R's come in that size though? If you're going to change the size, then you'll want to replace all 4.
  9. Haha yeah I think you are.. I think I'm the only one here who would fit ur bill and I ain't going anywhere near no alpine haha!
  10. Mine was 97dB with a twin turbo system... I havent had it tested since i single turb'd it but it wouldn't be any quieter im sure

  16. I've often been told to put an FMIC on mine... mainly cos my bumper looks very empty! But no, I'm running an ARC top mount and I find it pretty good. No lag that I've noticed and it's certainly larger than a stock one!
  17. Yeah I kinda woulda thought that would be obvious, but I guess not :-)
  18. If you intend on your car remaining road legal: http://www.ltsa.govt.nz/certifiers/virm-in-service/general-07-v3a4.pdf Page 33 A motor vehicle that has had an airbag removed or made inoperable must either: a) have all OE signs lights, or other devices that indicated the vehicle was fitted with an airbag removed, or b) if the signs, lights, or other devices cannot be readily removed, have a label that indicates an airbag has been removed permanently attached in a prominent location where it is clearly visible to any occupant of the seating position that was previously protected by the airbag. 9. A modification that affects an airbag system must be inspected and certified by an LVV specialist certifier, unless the vehicle is: a) excluded from the requirement for LVV specialist certification (Table 7-6-1), and b) has been inspected in accordance with the requirements in this manual, including those for equipment, condition and performance.
  19. Interesting. My control box just stopped working for no reason after and engine transplant last year. Maybe I should rip it apart and see if there is anything missing on mine!
  20. I had this same problem with mine... it would turn over but not start. I pulled the line off the fuel filter and powered it on, there was fuel coming out. It did start when the gas pedal was held down though... something I never tried myself!
  21. I'll be watching it :-) Will probably get the soundtrack too, to join the other 3
  22. TURTLE has a V7 Short block on here, apparently it has a bung big end bearing though.
  23. That's EXACTLY what I thought when I was scrolling through them all... screw trying to look at them!! Great shots djr.. I didn't have my camera and I was on the start/finish line all day... my bad
